This course will teach you how to research, analyse and interpret the current and future of domestic and international business environments. Critical thinking skills are used to create strategic business and marketing plans and identify strategic business opportunities. Business knowledge, combined with electives in marketing, public relations, events and advertising, will give you varied career options and a chance to learn about a variety of different business areas. Through work placement, you'll learn about the contemporary business environment first hand, and gain practical skills to complement your theoretical knowledge.

Location, Study Time & Start Dates


This business degree is delivered at APM campuses in Sydney & Brisbane, and can be completed in two years of full-time study compared to the usual three or four years at university. This will mean you can graduate and start earning sooner than your university counterparts. You can also complete this course in four years of part-time study. Alternatively, you may complete some or all of this degree via distance education (online) allowing you the flexibility to study when and where you want. Classes are kept small, with a maximum of 35 students; to ensure that you get individual attention when you need it. Training is as interactive as possible. Frequent discussions, group work and study groups help you get the most out of your studies. There are three start dates a year for this course. I havent done any formal studying for some time and am concerned about keeping up. Can you help?
APM offers a special workshop for those who are returning to study after a long time or are unfamiliar with the requirements of formal study. This workshop provides you with tips on studying, making notes, writing assignments and preparing for exams. In addition, APM lecturers and staff are always available for advice. You also have the option of deferring individual subjects for up to two years so you can study at a slower pace at no additional cost.

Is Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) available?


Yes, RPL is available upon academic approval.

Where is the APM campus located?


APM has campuses in Sydney and Brisbane.

APMs Sydney campus is located in North Sydney, just a few minutes from central Sydney across the famous Harbour Bridge. APMs Brisbane campus is located in Fortitude Valley, just minutes from the heart of Brisbane. This modern campus was completely refurbished in October 2008 and now includes state-ofthe-art teaching and learning facilities.

What are the enrolment dates for the courses?


There are three start dates per year for APMs higher education courses and quarterly start dates for the Diploma and Advanced Diploma courses. You can enrol anytime during the year and start in the semester of your choice. However, do note that there is a maximum of 35 students per class so enrol early to book your place.
