CURRENT ASSIGNMENT:

 Presently I am working as Assistant General Manager and heading a Main Branch


of the Bank at Gorakhpur, which is a large size branch with deposits and advances
base of more than Rs 1000 Cr and team of 160 employees, which includes 25
middle and senior level Officers. This state of the art branch is a CBS (Core
Banking Solution) branch having almost all the Banking products supported by
latest technology. The branch has more than 60000 customer accounts and broadly
covers Corporate, Retail & International Banking, NRI and Govt. business. The
branch has a dedicated division “Mega Bazar” for cross selling of products of SBI
life & General Insurance, Mutual Funds of SBI, UTI & others. The branch also
has de-mat & e-trading accounts and Gold sale business. The Branch provides
total Banking Solution to Employees Provident Fund and Employees State
Insurance Organisations beside providing cash management solution to Indian Oil
Corpn., Hindustan Petroleum, L&T, Bharat Petroleum etc.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

(a) CORPORATE, RETAIL, AGRICULTURE & CROSS SELLING:


(MORE THAN 7 YEARS)

 I have worked as Chief Manager (Advances / Credit support) under Zonal office
Kanpur and was responsible for credit portfolio of 41 branches situated in
different locations in metro, urban, semi-urban and rural areas of four districts. My
key responsibility areas were, business development, processing high value
proposal, sanction and monitoring advances’ portfolio of the Region. I was
frequently visiting branches, guiding them in sanction, supervision and follow up,
meeting with valuable customers, organizing farmers, traders and other customers
meet, identifying cluster for credit delivery and meeting with District and other
Government functionaries for mobilizing funds. The most important area of my
assignment was to prepare branches for different audits viz Inspection and Audit
(normal internal audit conducted by corporate centre), Statutory Audit, Credit
Audit, Income Audit, Spot Audit, RBI and Govt. Audit. I was also responsible for
NPA management and recovery of overdue. The role also included initiation of
legal action and monitoring of lawsuits pending in different courts /Tribunals.

 I have worked as Branch Manager for 21/2 years at a rural centre comprising
Retail and agriculture business. The branch was a chronic loss-making branch,
which was turn around during my stay. The inspection and audit rating of the
branch was improved to “Efficiently Run” which is the highest rating of a SBI
branch.

 I have also worked as Asset. Manager (Advances) i.e. Field Officer at LalaImli
branch Kanpur. I was looking after portfolio of British India Corporation( the
famous brand Lal Imli& Dhariwal)which was around 100 crores.

(b) INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (5 YEARS)

COMPUTERISATION & NETWORKING

 I have worked as Chief Manager (IT) and was posted in Kanpur Module for two
years. I was responsible for migrating 200 branches on CBS (Core Banking
Solution). With a strong & dedicated team of Project Officers, Programmers,
Support officers I was responsible for procurement of hardware, arranging
infrastructure like ISDN, leased lines , V-Sat etc, preparation and purification of
data, networking, migration of branches on new plate form and providing hand
holding support for smooth functioning of branches.

 I was also responsible for installation of new ATMs and their maintenance. My job
was also to monitor the hit rate, availability and issuance and activation of ATM
cards. The job required constant liaison with vendors.

 I was also In charge of Zonal Office Computer Centre which was responsible for
collation and processing of data of entire module comprising of more than 200
business units and ware housing and mining for different users.

MANAGER DATA PROCESSING CENTRE:


 I was posted as Manager (Data Processing Centre) for 3 years at Local Head
Office, Lucknow which is responsible for execution of a large number of data
projects. The department requires to procure the data from different operating
units, process, analyse and distribute for decision-making process and also to
preserve in data warehouse for future reference.

© BUDGETING, PLANNING AND PERFORMANCE MONITORING:

 For more than 3 years I was pasted as manager in Budget, performance


monitoring and MIS department in Local Head Office, Lucknow. The job required
preparation of Budget for business and profitability of the Circle consisting of
more than 900 branches and offices in U.P. /Uttranchal. I was also involved in
formulation of Policy Guidelines for the branches ( a strategy paper for the
branches. The also required analyzing performance data and presenting it to Circle
Management Committee (CMC) on monthly basis or more frequently as required
by them, for review to enable them to take corrective measures accordingly. I was
also responsible to carry out study /arrange study to on different aspect of business
and profitability for perusal by CMC / submission to Corporate centre.

(d) HUMAN RESOURCE AND INDUSTRIAL RELATION (2 ½ years)

 I was posted as Dy. Manager (HR & IR) in the Zonal Office and was responsible
for HR function of more than 40 branches. The role included training, transfer &
placement, annual appraisals, industrial dispute cases in courts and tribunals and
other miscellaneous functions.

(e) FOREX AND INTERNATIONAL BANKING

 I was In-charge of Forex division at Lal Imli branch and was dealing with
mainly import & export bills, forward contracts, opening of LCs, sell and purchase
of Foreign currencies. I got ample opportunities to learn rules & regulation of
RBI, FEDAI & Govt of India in this regard.

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT:

programme for top executives”.

o LAL BAHADUR SHASTRI INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT


LUCKNOW: Sponsored by the Bank to attend a “programme on dealing with
problem people”.

o STATE BANK INSTITUTE OF COMMUNICATION AND


MANAGEMENT HYDERABAD: Deputed by the bank for “Technology
Orientation Programme” which was completed in 7 phases of one week each
spreading one year period, covering all important IT issues for senior
management functionaries. The programmes were organized in association
with specialists of the respective fields.

Management Programme for senior management conducted in association
with IMS. Also attended programmes on High value advances, Management
development programme, programme on International Banking and forex

on Branch Management”
