CURRENT ASSIGNMENT:
WORK EXPERIENCE:
I have worked as Chief Manager (Advances / Credit support) under Zonal office
Kanpur and was responsible for credit portfolio of 41 branches situated in
different locations in metro, urban, semi-urban and rural areas of four districts. My
key responsibility areas were, business development, processing high value
proposal, sanction and monitoring advances’ portfolio of the Region. I was
frequently visiting branches, guiding them in sanction, supervision and follow up,
meeting with valuable customers, organizing farmers, traders and other customers
meet, identifying cluster for credit delivery and meeting with District and other
Government functionaries for mobilizing funds. The most important area of my
assignment was to prepare branches for different audits viz Inspection and Audit
(normal internal audit conducted by corporate centre), Statutory Audit, Credit
Audit, Income Audit, Spot Audit, RBI and Govt. Audit. I was also responsible for
NPA management and recovery of overdue. The role also included initiation of
legal action and monitoring of lawsuits pending in different courts /Tribunals.
I have worked as Branch Manager for 21/2 years at a rural centre comprising
Retail and agriculture business. The branch was a chronic loss-making branch,
which was turn around during my stay. The inspection and audit rating of the
branch was improved to “Efficiently Run” which is the highest rating of a SBI
branch.
I have also worked as Asset. Manager (Advances) i.e. Field Officer at LalaImli
branch Kanpur. I was looking after portfolio of British India Corporation( the
famous brand Lal Imli& Dhariwal)which was around 100 crores.
I have worked as Chief Manager (IT) and was posted in Kanpur Module for two
years. I was responsible for migrating 200 branches on CBS (Core Banking
Solution). With a strong & dedicated team of Project Officers, Programmers,
Support officers I was responsible for procurement of hardware, arranging
infrastructure like ISDN, leased lines , V-Sat etc, preparation and purification of
data, networking, migration of branches on new plate form and providing hand
holding support for smooth functioning of branches.
I was also responsible for installation of new ATMs and their maintenance. My job
was also to monitor the hit rate, availability and issuance and activation of ATM
cards. The job required constant liaison with vendors.
I was also In charge of Zonal Office Computer Centre which was responsible for
collation and processing of data of entire module comprising of more than 200
business units and ware housing and mining for different users.
I was posted as Dy. Manager (HR & IR) in the Zonal Office and was responsible
for HR function of more than 40 branches. The role included training, transfer &
placement, annual appraisals, industrial dispute cases in courts and tribunals and
other miscellaneous functions.
I was In-charge of Forex division at Lal Imli branch and was dealing with
mainly import & export bills, forward contracts, opening of LCs, sell and purchase
of Foreign currencies. I got ample opportunities to learn rules & regulation of
RBI, FEDAI & Govt of India in this regard.
