IMPORTANT NOTE! A questionnaire was sent home regarding our Kindergarten Music Program and costumes. Please read that note and return ASAP. Only two children from each class will be selected for each song, and it is First come, first served. Please indicate 2nd and 3rd choices!

There is research which shows that the more minutes a child reads each day, the better reader he/she will become. PLEASE take 15 minutes a night to listen to your child read the reader and assist with the decoding skills: sounding out new words, looking for chunks within words, looking at picture clues, skipping the word to read the sentence, then coming back to think of what makes sense in that spot. Practice several times until your child can read the book with fluency. I have seen great reading gains with the children who are reading nightly on a regular basis! Thanks, parents!
