The Lima News and Bluffton University to honor local youth volunteers
LIMA The Lima News has again joined with Bluffton University to sponsor a special program that will recognize young leaders in our area. Leaders of Tomorrow will honor students in Grades 11 and 12 for their leadership through community volunteerism, academic success and extracurricular activities. Finalists from the area will each receive a $100 cash award with the winner receiving $1,000. An awards dinner will be held tonight to recognize all nominees and finalists at Bluffton University. The Lima News is once again pleased to present the Leaders of Tomorrow program. We were able to continue this program, for the ninth consecutive year, with the continued support of Bluffton University and our other sponsors. The program highlights leadership roles our youth play in the community, said Bill Clinger, The Lima News marketing director. Their hard work often goes unnoticed and we all want to recognize these young people for what they do. Other sponsors that are helping make this recognition possible are Superior Federal Credit Union, Dominion and Century Link. They are underwriting the cost of the awards.
