I have reviewed an intemal inquiry of an alleged violation of the Jacksonville Police Department Policy and Procedure Manual: General Order 11.7.1 Procedure A police officer's responsibility include completing duties in an efficient manner; following department policy and procedures; obeying legitimate orders of a supervisor

I have determined that just cause exists to support the allegation that you acted in a manner that is contrary to conduct expected of a Jacksonville Police Officer. Specifically you did not complete your timesheet when required on several occasions after being told to do so.

You are advised that any future violations of departmental policy will lead to progressive discipline. To avoid future problems concerning this specific violation you need to adhere to the directions spelled out in the Jacksonville Policy and Procedure Manual. This memo will act as a letter of reprtmand and will remain in your personnel file for one (1) year. After the year has passed you may submit a wlitten request to have it removed from your file.

On a previous date, Sgt. Thompson suggested to Ptl. Degroot to update his time sheet everyday when he read his dept email. This way, he won't fall behind in his paperwork In the morning of Saturday, June 25 Ptl. Klendworth made the announcement to the shift time sheets were due the next day. During the morning briefing on Sunday, June 26,2011 I made the announcement to the shift I would be doing timesheets. However; Ptl. Degroot was not there because he was a will call. At this time, 355pm, Ptl. Degroot has still not done his timesheet (06/26/11).
