IPaWC Program

The Scientific Program will be divided into three distinct themes, with each theme targeting a specific audience.
[Day 1] Friday, April 20th The program on day 1

is designed primarily for members of the probiotic industry such as manufacturers, probiotic research and development scientists, brand marketers, industry consultants, and regulatory officials. This session will cover emerging areas of probiotic research and will be an overview of the international regulatory environment for probiotics. Further more, it will present recommendations for what is needed to improve the status of probiotics as non-prescription dietary aids to improve health.
[Day 2] Saturday, April 21st The program on day 2

is designed primarily for healthcare practitioners interested in learning more about the potential clinical benefits and safety of probiotics in clinical practice. Topics will include a general look at current perception of probiotics among healthcare professionals, as well as an overview of some of the mechanisms of action for probiotics. Last but not least, sessions will focus on clinical research on the use of probiotics for specific conditions as well as an overview of probiotic safety.
