But Easter means much more Easter is the story of Jesus' last days in Jerusalem before his death. The Easter story includes Maundy Thursday (the Last supper leading to the Eucharist), Good Friday (the day on which Jesus was crucified) and Easter Day (the day on which Jesus came back to life). It is a sad story because Jesus was killed. But the story has a very happy ending, because Jesus came back to life and visited his friends and followers once more. He did not die at all, but went back up to Heaven to be with God, his father. Easter is also the oldest and the most

Kids at work (Assignment)

5 JK and 5 SK Materials Pen Paper Words written on a cartolina: ALELLUIA JESUS IS RISEN Activity: Ask the kids to find as many words as they can from the phrase: ALELLUIA JESUS IS RISEN. They have to make at least 5-10 words. The minimum number of letters in a word is 3. (E.g. air). Once they finished the task, give them the next clue. Relate all the tasks done to the Easter Day: These activities were all about the resurrection of Jesus. Some of the activities were roll the stone and pass the message of the angel. We remember in these activities the time when Mary, Magdalene and Salome were about to visit the tomb of Jesus, they saw that the stone was already rolled, and when they saw an angel, they were asked to tell the message to the disciples that Jesus is risen. Easter reminds us that Jesus died on the cross for our sins. Three days after He died and was laid to rest, He rose from the dead. His death and resurrection give us forgiveness and hope for a future with God. Let us always remember that God loves us, even if we commit sins, God will still forgive us, and may our lives be centered on Him just as how He wanted it. The death and resurrection of Jesus also means hope. And as we celebrate Easter this month, ask the kids to write their prayer intention (not only for themselves but also for others) for this year. Tell them to write it on a piece of paper and when they attend the next Sunday mass, offer it to God and say a short prayer for them.
