EASTER EGG TREE An Easter tree displays your beautifully decorated Easter eggs. Anchor a pretty branch in a pot of gravel, rocks or plaster of Paris. Let everyone hang blown eggs on the branches that they have decorated. BUNNY BISCUITS 1. Roll out biscuit dough (or use refrigerator biscuits). 2. Cut the dough in circles. Cut half of the circles in half. 3. Place the two halves on a sheet in a V for ears. 4. Moisten the lower edges of the ears and top them with a round biscuit, pressing the edges together. 5. Roll a ball of extra dough for a nose. 6. Make cheese eyes and whiskers. 7. Brush the completed bunnies with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. 8. Bake and cool them on a rack. FAMILY EASTER BASKET Decorate a nice big basket to hold ALL the colored eggs the family makes. Let them see their work on display! COLLAGE EGGS Mix equal amounts of white glue and water. Brush the mixture lightly on the eggs. Then overlap torn pieces of colored tissue paper on the eggs. SUGAR COOKIE EGGS 1. Make favorite sugar cookie dough. 2. Make an egg-shaped cookie cutter from a clean tin can by removing both end of a tin can and squeezing the two sides together until you have a perfect egg shape. 3. Cut dough into egg shapes and bake. 4. Cool cookies and make favorite butter cream frosting. Tint with various colors. 5. Set out lots of sprinkles and decorate those cookies. 6. Put them in a basket and take it to someone who could use a little love. EGG TAPPING GAME Two players begin by facing each other, holding a hard boiled egg so that just the small end shows. They tap the ends of their eggs together. This continues until on egg cracks. The winner then goes on to challenge the next player and so on until every one has played. The person who has cracked the most opponent eggs while keeping his/her own uncracked is the winner.

EGG ROLL Everyone lines up, arm length, apart and rolls their egg down a hill. The egg that rolls the farthest without cracking wins. Even the smallest crack disqualies an egg. EGG TOSS Every tosses their egg to their partner who attempts to catch it without breaking it. Everyone then takes one step backwards and tosses again. When one breaks, that couple is out. Play until there is only one couple left. EGG ON A SPOON RELAY Everyone lines up holding a spoon with an egg resting on the end. Everyone must run from one end of the yard and back without dropping their egg. The person who completes the task rst, wins. TREASURE HUNT Write clues and hide them in plastic eggs. Give the rst clue/egg to the hunters that will lead them to the second egg and so on until they nd the treasure. SYMBOLISM OF THE EGG As you decorate eggs, discuss how the egg can be a symbol of the resurrection. An egg appears lifeless, but out of it comes new life. The egg is compared to the tomb. The chick is entombed, and when the time is right, the chick comes to life. So will the dead rise from their graves as Jesus did. LETTERS FROM THE EASTER BUNNY The Easter Bunny can leave notes and letters for the believing children. He can tell them about his family and their various adventures in making and delivering eggs. ABOUT EGGS To blow an egg: poke a hole in each end of a raw egg with a large needle. Insert the needle and wiggle it to break up the yoke. Shake the egg, place a drinking straw against the smaller hole and blow through it to expel the egg. Rinse the shell thoroughly. To hang a blown egg: break a wooden toothpick in half and tie a piece of thread or ribbon to the larger half. Insert it into the egg and hang by the thread sticking out of the hole. CONFETTI EGGS or CASCARONES Cascarones are colorful confetti-lled eggs. Throughout Mexico and the American Southwest , confetti eggs are used to celebrate by breaking the egg over someones head; letting the confetti out. These are a blast. To make your own, crack the tip of an egg to release the yolk. Rinse thoroughly. Dye the shell. When the egg is dyed and dry, ll the egg with colorful confetti. Close the egg by gluing tissue paper over the hole.
