Project Details of B to B:

Prepare a document and Presentation on the following details of any Small Business Unit. The details to be covered in the project as follows: Purchasing policy: o How do they decide with whom to buy the raw materials? o How do they forecast the demand for their products? o No of suppliers o How many purchase order copy do they use? What is purpose of each one? o What are the specifications that they mention during the order? For eg. : if the manufacturer have to purchase a steel rod for his product he should mention the thickness, size and so on about that material. o Logistics details. How much do they spend on logistics? o Payment details. For eg. : How much percentage of the amount they pay in advance? Its terms and conditions, How will they get back their payment in the case of defective goods? o Details about the retailers. o Different purchasing policy that they follow with different retailers for different raw materials. Costing policy : LIFO / FIFO? Why? How does he go about costing? Is he registered under any legal entities? What are the labour laws that he follows? Pricing policy for different items. Selling and Services: o How does he determine his demand? o Does that demand meant for B-B or B-C? o Sales organization sector o Does he have distributors? o Salary to the sales man. Does he provide any kind of incentives, commissions, tec. o What is the profit margin for the distributors?

o Does MRP apply to that product? o Does he customize his product? How does he charge for that? o How does he replace the damaged goods? About his payment details.

Choose any one project: 1. Select a Chain of companies and do the following: a. Different strategies that they follow in different retail stores. For eg. Future Group: Big Bazaar, Pantaloons, eZone, Staples, Home town and so on b. Industry analysis, company analysis, competitor analysis and customer analysis c. SWOT analysis and provide a TOWS matrix for that. d. PLC analysis and tell, in which stage each of the retail outlets are in. e. 7Ps f. Compare and Contrast the strategies of all the retail outlets 2. Select a category and choose five brands for that product and do the following details: a. STP analysis b. Industry analysis, company analysis, competitor analysis and customer analysis c. SWOT analysis and provide a TOWS matrix for that. d. PLC analysis and 7Ps e. How many are doing B to B and B to C?
