LETOURNEAU LIGHTNING RIG

The LeTourneau Lightning Rig offers the solid construction, safety, drilling efficiency, and structural reliability of a conventional land rig in a quick set up land rig design. Each designed rig utilizes advanced AC drilling technology, and is engineered and packaged for high performance and reliability, as well as rapid deployment, set up, and easy maintenance. Equipped with LeTourneaus advanced OEM AC Drive and AC Traction Motor technology, the Lightning Rig provides increased efficient fuel operation, low maintenance costs throughout the life of the rig, and a high level of torque and control of drilling operations. In addition to the reduced maintenance, the Lightning Rig requires fewer loads to transport. The rigs mast is designed with a wide base at the drill floor, ensuring that there is sufficient space for necessary drilling equipment. At the same time, this advanced design also features a small overall rig footprint. Adding to the efficiency and safety of this rig is the fact that the mast and substructure can be raised hydraulically without the need for drawworks power during rig up.

MASTS AND SUBS

LeTourneau masts and subs are built to provide reliability and high performance in a quick set up design. These advanced masts and subs are designed to be transported in as few as six primary loads. The mast section, a hydraulically raised cantilever design, is engineered for travel with a number of key accessories including a top drive, crown block, guide track, traveling block, mast ladder, racking platform, and air hoist sheaves for efficient disassembly, transport, and rig up.

Key elements and options of LeTourneaus advanced masts and subs systems include:
Cantilever mast Traveling block Crown safety platform Racking platform Derrickmans climb assist and escape device Cable-type ladder safety climb Air tugger sheave units Rig leveling equipment Hydraulically raised substructure Drilling floor and handrails Air tugger pedestals Two sets of stairs designed to extend from the drill floor to the ground Deadline anchor support Air supply to racking platform Piping for top drive system Hangoff line for suspending traveling equipment from crown Diesel power unit for raising cylinders and hydraulic catheads Air-powered casing stabbing platform unit

MASTS AND SUBS

Features
Combining both long term structural integrity and operational reliability with a proven fast set up design, LeTourneau masts and subs offer a number of important features: Heavy duty structural elements for reliability and long life Conventional string up design, instead of a split crown block and traveling block, for simplified rig up Simplified mast design includes the use of a mast hinge point on the drillers and off-drillers side panels for hydraulically operated folding in-out operations and safety when loading on a truck bed Hydraulic pinning cylinders for accurate elevated pin connections System for raising and lowering operations No A-frames required, providing for a high level of safety

LETOURNEAU AGGRESSOR
The Lean Drilling Machine
Introducing the lean approach to drilling shallow to medium depth vertical wells spanning from West Texas to any other place on the globe. The AGGRESSOR rig is the investment focused solution for exploiting oil and gas resources to depths up to 10,000 feet. The AGGRESSOR is a 300,000 lb. single. The design is focused on eliminating any excess, wasted assets, or anything that does not contribute to a safe, efficient drilling process. The AGGRESSOR, an agile trailer mounted top drive rig, represents a new generation of mechanical drilling rigs.

TM

Prominent features of the AGGRESSOR include: 150 ton rated, 706 C-Box mast Custom trailer with integrated drawworks, mast, and top drive Patent pending drilling system Hydraulic pipe boom Eagle Talon Grip pipe wrench 150 ton mast mounted top drive unit The AGGRESSOR is ideal for working in hard to reach urban or heavily forested areas, due to minimal loads and a smaller footprint, and the fact that cranes are not required for assembly.

LETOURNEAU AGGRESSOR
Cost Benefits
1. CREW SIZE: The AGGRESSOR can be operated with as few as two people, as opposed to five on a conventional rig. 2. EASE OF MOBILITY: As a result of fewer loads, the average time from release to spud between wells on different pads (neglecting transportation) is six hours. All major loads are trailer mounted and no cranes are required. A patented four-axle trailer allows raising the front two axles for maneuvering into tight spots. The top drive eliminates the need to drill a rat or mouse-hole. You just raise the mast, make up bottom hole assembly, and spud. 2. SMALL FOOTPRINT: With dimensions of 67 X 90, including tubulars, the AGGRESSORs compact design enables you to rig-up on smaller locations. 4. SIMPLICITY OF DESIGN: The motors and hydraulics are located on a one-piece center section so they are not disconnected during rig moves. Two separate hydraulic systems and reservoirs reduce the chance of contamination and keep the fluid cool. Hydraulic lines are located in trays beneath the rig floor to contain leaks and spills. Hydraulic valves are centralized on the rig and installed with a plug and play format. When operating in remote locations and a valve requires repair, the whole box can be removed and replaced with a new box, allowing the operator to take the failed box back to the shop. 5. HEIGHT RESTRICTIONS: Should compromising height restrictions apply, the mast can be removed by crane in about an hour and transported on a custom designed trailer. 6. SAFETY: Eagle Talon Grip instead of tongs and spinning chains to enhance worker safety Two six-ton winches for lifting accessories to the rig floor, instead of dangerous and outdated cat-heads No derrick man needed during tripping operations Hydraulic pipe tubs for minimal contact and safe transportation of tubulars Low obstacle mud tanks for worker safety
