Humility, Passion and Innovation Being a UP student, being a naturally idealistic individual in the realm of science; being an exposed person in the field of research and never ending innovationsIf God allowed our souls to switch at that very instant, I would face it with my principles as a person who has lived for 21 years. Being a vibrant, young graduate of Engineering Tech who had been into thick and thin in the field of catalysts, it is worth fighting for to present the results of the preliminary investigation of Catalyst B. Being an ethical person, and someone who thinks for the betterment of the company (knowing the company engages into something big), I do not find anything unethical with superimposing the expertise of my co-workers in the field of catalysts; they may be experts, but being a scientist in-themaking, I can be as promising as ever: I can present findings, results, whatever you call it. I was hired in the first place to be innovative and to think of better answers. It may sound so overwhelming that most of my co-workers are into Catalyst A, yet, what could be their bases for it? It surely would not hurt a muscle to be reminded that I am into an engineering firm; processing products should be based on evidence and not by plain experience and gut feel. Part of my training is being critical and being OPEN to changesas what I have said in my previous essay. A part of being professional is to know how to embrace change. The pressure may seem strong, but it is never too late to challenge the process. The position of being a researcher is just waste if I do not share the findings I have for Catalyst B; I would present my recommendations, and also my initial findings; I can also give a comparative presentation on both A and B. It is a good thing that the management nowadays is open to all kinds of sensible recommendations and as part of it, I should present it with confidence and not arrogance. Being brought to my mothers office every week, it is already a normal sight to see people (employees) do nothing with their spare time. Ideas, here and there, seem lost for a day. Snacks time, lunch and many other free time, most of them just chit chat and forget the very reason why they are brought to the office. It plainly describes human naturethe nature of being forgetful (forgetful of why one is there in the first place). In the end, it is up to them (the management) to decide based on my findings; it is up to them to scrutinize my work and follow my recommendations; in short, it is plainly up to them. As part of the job title I have, I would request to further fund for more research on catalyst B if the company goes for better and improved production. The world is itself unfair, life as a whole. At the end of the day, my conscience will be spic and span that I did with full might the duties bestowed to me by the company. Humility, Passion and Innovation fuel a society back to being progressive; being scientific, being adherent to change and lastly, being strong hearted to stand up again after failing.
