1.2Determine the criteria to be applied when selecting data and information to support decision making Data is a collection of information which has a certain value. Usually when making a decision, data is consulted. It must be made sure that the data which is consulted in decision making is highly accurate, valid and clear in terms of comprehension. The data provides with the records and the facts and hence, help with the decision making. The data which is used must therefore be related to the decision being made. Although there may be different criteria to be applied when selecting data and information to support decision making, the most important ones are that the data must be valid, it must be in such a form that it is easily understood and not cause any misunderstandings, the data should be free of any errors and also provide a clear picture. While selecting data or searching the data to support the decision making the source of the data should be accurate and reliable enough to support the research in which you are working for. First of all the data which is being sourced should be primary data which should be a complete depicting of the research which is being conducted, then secondary information should be focused in which the information should be extracted which relates to the concerned research study. All the data being used in the research study should have authenticity and relevant to the study work.

2.1 Determine the legal responsibilities in sourcing, sharing and storing information The legal responsibilities in sourcing, sharing and storing the information play an important role as these things are really important. As far as the sourcing is concerned the APA style should be used in which the source should be quoted, in other words we can say that citation should be done as its really necessary. It is ethically important to quote the source from where you have taken the information and relevant data. The sharing of information can be done in a number of ways, they can be sent over via post, email, be in the form of soft or hard copies. Sometimes the sharing of information

can also be done via presentations and by using multimedia and not by giving some actual stuff such a printouts, falshdrives, compacts discs or books. In health and security organizations such as hospitals and armed forces , the information is kept highly confidential and secure, mostly the information is not even accessible to their own staff and employees because of the sensitivity of the information. 2.2 Discuss when information should be offered and access allowed

Any information regarding a company is and should be kept confidential to a certain extent. Only that information should be given out which cannot harm the company in any way or can be used against it. Governments of most countries require companies and other bodies to give a quarterly or a yearly report which contains the company information such its assets, budgets and other news. Such type of information is unlikely to bring any harm to the company. During the tenure of a company, many instances arises when information needs to be shared and access allowed, for example the ISO international certification and other recommendations like SGS require the companies to show and allow access to the third party so that they may be evaluated. 2.3 Evaluate the formats in which information can be offered The data should be in the APA format in which the data is being presented in a manner that the source is being quoted in the end, from where the data is being extracted. This is the ethical and most recommended format for any report and research analysis and sharing information. Other than this, a numerical or a graphical format of information can also be shared if the information is related to budgets and numbers. In simple terms
The necessary formats of information are as follows:

Electric/manual folders Libraries List of Individuals Documents

4.3 Determine methods of developing information capture to inform and support strategic decision making. Information capture is the process of recording representations of human thought, perceptions, or actions in documenting patient care, as well as device-generated information that is gathered and/or computed about a patient as part of health care. Typical means for information capture are handwriting, speaking, typing, touching a screen, or pointing and clicking on words, phrases,

etc. Other means include videotaping, audio recordings, and images etc. All these methods can be and are used to make and support strategic decisions in the organizations today. This information may contain detail about some current issue, or some previous facts and figures which can be used to make decisions.
