FACULTY

CLASS

ROOMS AND STUDY MATERIAL

A multi layered classroom course structure has been developed to cater to the needs of students preparing for IIT-JEE & AIEEE. AKV is a unique amalgam of factual knowledge, teaching and testing methodology. Meticulously prepared, exhaustive study material is self-sufficient to crack IIT-JEE & AIEEE. We have well equipped, centrally air-conditioned lecture rooms where the students are comfortable even during the oppressive heat of June and July.

LIBRARY

FACILITY (OPTIONAL)

We have a well-equipped library in Sector 36-D, run by A.K.VIDYAMANDIR EDUCATIONAL & RESEARCH TRUST. The library has many course, reference, and competition books written by eminent Indian and foreign authors. A number of periodicals and journals are also subscribed to. The students can make use of the library by paying a very small fee. The library has a spacious AC reading hall where the students can study in their free time.

TRANSPORT

FACILITY (OPTIONAL)

Institute owns a fleet of buses providing doorstep service to the students of the city and those coming from adjoining areas of Chandigarh, on nominal charges. The transport is available only from certain selected sectors. This facility cannot be claimed as a matter of right.

ADMISSION

PROCEDURE

For admission to any course, completed Admission Form, along with copies of certificates and testimonials, 2 Photographs must be sent to the Corporate Office, along with the Registration Fee of ` 5000 (which will be fully adjusted in the First Installment of course fee) or First Installment of Course Fee, which can be deposited either in cash at the institute itself or by Demand Draft in favour of " A.K.VIDYAMANDIR Pvt.Ltd." payable at Chandigarh. First installment of Course fee must be paid before or at the time of admission or before start of the Classes.

FEEDBACK

APPRAISAL SYSTEM

A.K. VIDYAMANDIR puts in all efforts to fulfil its responsibilities towards students overall growth for competitive examinations' preparations. One important aspect of this is to involve and apprise parents about students progress and hence the feedback system is developed. Each student is issued an ID card and regular attendance is taken. Absenteeism, if any, is immediately communicated to the parents telephonically. All regular class tests results are also communicated to the parents through E-mail/SMS on their Registered Mobile Numbers (RMN)/ by post. For this purpose parents mobile numbers are regularly updated in our records. Parents Teachers Meets (PTMs) are also organized once in every three months wherein parents are invited and they can meet individual teachers and get first hand information about students progress and performance. Grievances, if any, are also redressed immediately and overall benefit of the students can be effectively ensured. For this purpose a dedicated email address (complaint@akvidyamandir.com) is created wherein any body can mail his complaint and its redressal is ensuredwithin 48 hours.

STUDENTS

DOUBT REMOVAL SESSIONS

Though teaching standards are maintained at such level that there is no doubt left in the minds of students about the clarity of concepts and their applications, yet at times some students encounter doubts . It is our endeavour to ensure a complete understanding of subjects by the students and that is why AKV has special Doubt Removal Sessions. AKV has special arrangements for doubt removal with specialized teachers for this. We provide this facility to the students so that their doubts are immediately removed and they have a smooth understanding of subjects concepts and their applications. Students enrolled with any course of AKV can avail this facility with prior appointment.

New Pattern of Engineering Entrance Examination 2013

The HRD Ministry, Government of India is planning to bring about major changes in Engineering Entrances from 2013. Firstly they are planning to have single Engineering Entrance in the country for all the engineering colleges including IITs, NITs and that means there will be single entrance exam instead of IIT-JEE & AIEEE. Further, they are also planning to change the pattern of Joint Entrance Examination for the year 2013. The new pattern will include APTITUDE TEST (consisting of questions based on Qualitative & Quantitative Reasoning and other Topics studied in school). Also weightage would be given to percentile performance of students in Board Exams. They are also planning to have one Merit List and institutes including the IITs will have to pick up students from this Merit List. The Merit List will be based on Board marks and Entrance Test Results. These proposals are not yet final. When the final notification is made by the Government, students will be informed accordingly.

FAST
TRACK PROGRAMME 2012
(Batch Code : FTP NM - 12)

for class XII appearing students

The course is intended for AIEEE aspirants, who have either appeared in class XII Boards or have already passed class XII, specially for revision of the entire syllabus, and its duration will be approx 30-35 days depending upon the commencement date of the competition Entrance Examination. The entire syllabus of class XI and class XII is revised from the Entrance Exam point of view, vital tips with the main thrust on enabling students to acquire competence to solve all sorts of questions in minimum possible time by making use of different appropriate steps. In this programme classes will be of 6 hours duration every day. Overall 6 faculty members are involved in this programme. Daily tests as per latest pattern of AIEEE is the most crucial attribute of this programme which gives the students an edge over others and greatly reinforces their caliber to perform their best and achieve high rank. Comprehensive study material in the form of 13 booklets will be provided to the students enrolled for this programme, each booklet consists of Synopsis, Home work & Classwork Assignments.

The target students for this integrated two year programme are those who are moving from class X to class XI. This two years programme course will cover class XI syllabus (PCM) in the first year and simultaneously giving an exposure to the pattern/type of questions asked in various Entrance Exams like IIT-JEE/AIEEE and class XII syllabus (PCM) in the second year along with preparation for IIT-JEE/AIEEE. This 2-year coaching module will be conducted in two phases. (1) First year : Class XI Syllabus to be completed by Dec 2012 and preparation for Competitive Examinations (2) Second year : Class XII Syllabus and preparation for IIT-JEE/AIEEE : 2014. An Integrated 2 -Year Coaching-cum-School Programme for IIT-JEE/AIEEE

Every parent nurtures a desire of ensuring its children well established and settled in their chosen careers and in pursuit thereof they have to put in a lot of effort and channelise all the resources at their command to ensure the translation of their ambitions and aspirations into reality. VIDYAMANDIR for the class XII pass students preparing for the coveted IIT-JEE/AIEEE and other Engineering Entrance Examinations, and also for those who could not get admission in the institute of their choice like, IITs, NITs, Thapar, PEC etc. Through this unique invigorating programme, A.K. VIDYAMANDIR provides to such students an excellent platform for greatly improving their rank to achieve their goal of securing admission in any of the most prestigious institute/college, like IITs, NITs. Classes would be held 5 days every week, and the teaching would be for 5 hours daily : 1 hours each for Physics and Chemistry, and 2 hours for Mathematics. Mathematics would be taught by two different teachers daily, 1 hour by each teacher. Saturdays would be earmarked only for Problem Solving/Doubt Removal sessions, faculty members would be available to take care of students' doubts/problems. The teaching in this programme continues up to the February month of the following year and will be followed by Test Series in accordance with the TEST SCHEDULE to be held in the month of March-2013. Special stress is given on strengthening of fundamentals. Regular tests are conducted "Topicwise" and "Phase Test". The results are communicated to parents/guardians on regular basis. The tests are discussed threadbare, both inside the class and outside, so that students can perform better and still better after every test. Incomplete Form will be rejected. Admission form must be filled in by the candidate in his/ her own handwriting with Black/Blue ball point pen in capital letters. It is compulsory for a student to affix a passport size photograph in the space provided in the admission form and attach two extra copies of the photograph with the admission form. Write your name on the admission form as it appears in the Mark sheet of standard X or equivalent Examination The Director reserves all the rights, including the right to refuse admission without assigning any reason, what-so-ever. Admission of the candidate shall be cancelled if he/she fails to attend at least 80% of the total delivered lectures and also if found indulging in mis-behaviour of any kind during his/her stay in the institute. Absence from classes without proper leave application or prior information, may result in expulsion from the institute. All students enrolled with A.K.VIDYAMANDIR will have to provide the photocopy of their Admit Cards of Engineering or Medical Entrance Exams as soon as they receive their Admit Cards from the concerned examining bodies. The institute reserves the right to use the photograph for publicity in case the student secures position/ success in Engineering or Medical Entrance Exams.

The responsibility of getting admission form forwarded to the examining body is that of the student himself/herself or that of his/her Parents/Guardians. A.K.VIDYAMANDIR reserves the right to make any change in its centre and programs without any prior notice to anybody. Request for change of Address: Any change in the correspondence address or phone number should be immediately intimated to the Corporate Office through a written application quoting the Name, Roll No. & Centre Code of the student. Outstation cheques will not be accepted. In case of any dispute, arising out of present terms & conditions, same shall be referred to the sole arbitrator to be appointed by the Director of A.K.VIDYAMANDIR. The seat of arbitrator will be at Chandigarh. In case if any matter has to go to the court, only Chandigarh Court shall have the jurisdiction to decide such matters.

I have received a copy of Information Brochure and the Students Rule Book and have carefully & thoroughly gone through all the Terms and Conditions made therein and in this form. I also affirm and undertake to abide by all the Terms and Conditions and any future instructions issued by the Institute management. I undertake to provide the photo copies of Admit Cards of all the competitive examinations to the Director, A.K. Vidyamandir as soon as I receive the Admit Cards. Failure to do so will render me ineligible to get any reward/scholarship based on my score in such exams. I declare that I will not claim for refund of fee in any case. I also declare that all statements made in this Enrollment Form and the Bio-Data filled in, in the application form are true to the best of my knowledge. I also clearly understand that the Course Material supplied to me shall be the copyright of M/s A.K.VIDYAMANDIR Pvt. Ltd, Chandigarh and I shall not misuse or allow it to be misused in any manner which may be detrimental to the interests of A.K.VIDYAMANDIR Pvt. Ltd. It is very clear to me that all the disputes are subject to Chandigarh Jurisdiction only.
