Moldova ranks the 81st place as having the most favorable business environment

Moldpress news agency informs Moldova ranked the 81st place in the top of the countries with the most favorable business environment according to an annual report organized by the World Bank. Moldova went up by 18 positions comparing to 2011. The report shows that the country has significantly advanced in: launch of new businesses, issuance of credits, contracts' fulfillment and regulation of insolvency procedures. The small and middle-sized enterprises represent 28.3% of the Moldovan GDP and are the main providers of new jobs, which strengthen the Moldovas economic development.

Ukraine ceased to provide electricity to Moldova as of April 1 when the contract with the Ukrainian energy company, DTEK, expired and hadn't been extended on time, as well as contract with the Russian electric power supplier RAO UES. Currently, Moldova is supplied with electricity from unknown sources which officials refuse to disclose the identity of the suppliers. The premier minister, Vlad Filat assured the country that it will not be affected by the contract expirations and that there will be no lapses in the energy supply. As the main providers have asked for an increase of the price up to $69 megawatt per hour cost, it will lead to a higher price on electricity.

Infotag reports that Moldova has extended the contract with Russias gas
provider Gazprom till June 30, 2012. It is important to mention that 50% of Moldovagazs stocks belong to Russias Gazprom and about 35.33% to Moldova. Moldovagaz provider states that the Russian gas supplier will continue applying a European formula to calculate prices on natural gas for Moldovan consumers, in the second quarter of 2012, and the contractual terms of supplying the natural gas with remain the same.
Moldpress news agency reports the possibility of increasing the countrys GDP with more than 4 % during this year thought the Moldovan Ministry of Economy forecasts an increase with only 3.5%. The Minister of Economy, Valeriu Lazar is firmly convinced that Moldova might record an economic growth of 5 per cent, if Russia and EU are going too. Also, he said that in 2012-2015: the exports will exceed the imports; the long-term investments are expected to increase by 7% and the average salary will grow by 5 per cent. Moldova's economic growth forecast for 2013 stands at 4.5%, while for 20142015, at 5% and 5.5%. The experts say that Moldova is expected to reach an economic growth by 28% higher than the pre-crisis level in 2015.

The financial pyramid MMM-2011 has a wide-scale advertising campaign which contain offers of financial products and services, such as attraction of deposits from population; which according to NBM are illegal. The National Bank of Moldova attention people of Republic of Moldova that placement of funds in MMM-2011 is not controlled by the Bank because it has got no license and only people take risks to lose them.
