Recognized as a key performer in 1990 and a sales leader in 1989 for which incentive compensation was received. Produced $400,000 + in new service fee income for 1990. Assisted in the development and implementation of First Citys statewide underwriting guidelines for Correspondent Banking. Acted as a trainer and resource person for eight person lending department.

(1988) Managed and developed a staff of four, including three professionals who were subsequently promoted to Vice Presidents, Commercial Lending in the Wholesale Banking Division Identified initial credit problems in the HLT loan portfolio (approx. $500MM in commitments) which led to the implementation of timely workout strategies. Enhanced staff productivity and departments visibility by fostering excellent relationships with line lending staff and Bank management. Senior Loan Review Representative and Manager, McAllen, TX. (1987 1988) Acted as trouble shooter for Banks Credit Administration function which enabled holding company management to respond quickly to a rapidly deteriorating situation.
