Georges Community College (PGCC) forward John Savoy, Jr., effortlessly knocks down a 3-pointer.
versatile,
possessing
quickness
and
finesse,
with
the
ability
to
take
a
defender
off
the
dribble,
like
Kevin
Durant.
He
also
has
the
ability
to
dominate
defensively,
by
blocking
shots
and
capitalizing
on
defensive
and
offensive
rebounds.
This
kid
has
no
weaknesses!
I
guess
this
is
because
since
he
started
walking
he
has
had
a
basketball
in
his
hands.
Groomed
from
the
time
he
was
a
child,
Savoy
has
been
mentored
and
trained
by
his
father
John
Savoy,
who
in
his
own
right
was
an
exceptional
ball
player.
Following
in
his
fathers
footsteps,
John
Savoy,
Jr.,
is
ready
to
reignite
the
torch.
You
might
be
asking
yourself,
well
if
this
kid
is
so
great,
why
are
we
just
hearing
about
him?
History
has
shown
that
the
best
and
greatest
players
tend
to
be
those
who
werent
always
on
the
radar.
Xavier
Joyner,
the
Owls
head
coach
had
already
selected
his
team
for
the
2011-2012
season.
When
Savoy
arrived
for
tryouts,
he
left
an
undeniable
impression
on
the
Owls
coaching
staff.
Savoy
truly
has
something
special!
Hes
got
the
talent,
as
mentioned
by
coaching
staff,
athletic
trainers,
and
former
Maryland
basketball
player,
Johnny
Rhodes.
Awards
and
