Assignment 2 Free Creative Ltd You work as a concept designer for a graphic design company (Free Creative Ltd). The company specialises in branding and corporate identity. You will soon be taking on an intern and you have been asked to produce a help-sheet document that will show the different graphic file formats that your company uses and their particular purposes. You have also been asked to create a family of logos for your next client, Ow! Music. Ow! Music will soon launch a six new radio stations, and have employed you to create a logo for one of the stations. The logo will appear in a variety of formats and your design will have to take this into consideration.

You have been asked to plan and produce a series of logos. BRIEF: Ow! Music are launching six new radio stations later in the year. You have been asked to design a family of logos ident for three of the stations. The logo will appear as a letterhead, on the home page of the website, magazine and billboard advertising and a wide variety of merchandise. The stations are: Lock Pulse Mixx Buzz Shred VIP What to do: On your own, decide which radio stations to work with. Carefully think about the brief and the look that is needed to attract the right audience Produce ideas/sketches/drafts showing a range of potential ideas for the logos. Think about the file format for each logo and why it will need to be in this format. Using Photoshop, design the logos on the computer.

For Merit: Your work must show that you have worked to a good technical standard with some imagination, and that you have required only occasional assistance. For Distinction: Your work must show that you have worked to near-professional standards with creativity and flair, and that you have worked independently to professional expectations.
