Copyright Infringement Penalties


Criminal

Pays the actual dollar amount of damages and profits. The infringer can go to jail up to 5 years.

Civil Financial from $200 to $150,000 for each work infringed Pay for all attorneys fees and court costs. Injunction to stop the infringing acts. Impound the illegal works.
