Optimetrics for HFSS Post Processing with Optimetrics Post Process Commands
When you access HFSS from Optimetrics, two new commands replace the existing commands in the Post Process menu: View Fields Create Executive Parameters Macro Accesses the 3D Post Processor to allow you to analyze the fields. Creates post-processing macros that extract executive parameter data and use it in the parametric module.

You must specify which data to use and assign a name to be used in the software. Optimetrics reads the database file to extract the solution variable information.

Post Process/View Fields

HFSS in Optimetrics Choose this command to access the 3D Post Processor and analyze the fields. This command is identical to the Post Process/Nominal Problem command.

> To define the output parameters: 1. Choose Post Process/Create Executive Parameters Macro. A window appears, allowing you to define the parameters for the project. 2. Select the Solution Type to use. You may select from any of the quantities you defined when you set up the nominal problem. 3. Select the Group from which to take the parameters for the macro. This list is comprised of all the setups you created in the Setup Executive Parameters step of the nominal problem definition. 4. Enter the variable name in the Parameter Name field. This name will be used in the Optimetrics module. 5. Do one of the following: Choose Add Selection to add the entered parameter as a circuit parameter into

the Selected Quantities field. Choose Remove Selection to remove a single quantity. Choose Clear Selections to remove all quantities from the list. 6. Enter a name for the parameter file in the Selection Database Name field. The file is automatically appended with a .udb extension. 7. Choose OK.

The file is saved and can now be used to extract the parameters.

Removing Single Selections

You may remove selected variables from the Selected Quantities list using the Remove Selection command. > To remove single selections: 1. Select the variable you wish to remove from the Selected Quantities list. 2. Choose Remove Selection to remove the selected variables.

Removing All Selections

You may remove all the variables from the Selected Quantities list using the Clear Selection command. > To remove all selections: Choose Clear Selection. All the variables in the list are removed.
