2012 Horse Show Dates & Judges

Some Changes for SNHJA

A meeting was held on March 27 to discuss how SNHJA can reduce revenue losses caused by the economic downturn. The results of that meeting: Shows are reduced from 3 days to 2 days, effective beginning with the April Spring Classic. The show daily schedule was changed to divide the Friday classes between Saturday and Sunday and place the classes that are not filling at the end of each day. (The revised premium has already been emailed to members and snail mailed to trainers.) Stall fee for the new two-day shows was reduced to $40. Hurray! A potluck barbecue is planned for Saturday night of the April Spring Classic. More details and sign ups for potluck items will be available in the show office. SNHJA will be selling old jumps during the April Spring Classic show, possibly by silent auction. Rather than paying judges to design courses, SNHJA trainers will take turns designing courses for the remainder of the year. Thank you trainers! The May show has been cancelled. SNHJA may add a show in November to offset the May cancellation and move the Year-End Awards Banquet to January. Annual champion and reserve champion awards are normally presented at the Year-End banquet in each division. However, the downturn in the economy and the affect it has had on SNHJA probably will affect the number and types of the 2012 year-end awards. Your SNHJA Board

Despite the crazy winds and rains our team all rode through it. We are so proud of how everyone handles the weather and did so well. Great job team!!! We are looking forward to the next show! General Information

SNHJA is a non-profit horseshow club that is open to the public and welcomes members from child through adult at all skill levels. Shows are held monthly during winter and early spring. No shows are held during the summer months, and resume again in the fall. There is no charge to spectators to watch riders compete in the shows. If riders/trainers need entry forms, stall forms, etc. go to www.snhja.com. Premiums may be obtained from www.snhja.com or by contacting Amy at horsemomlv@aol.com. Individuals who have not paid their membership fees will not accrue points or receive newsletters and premiums. Membership forms are also available at www.snhja.com. For information on advertising or sponsoring classes, divisions, jumps, etc., contact Amy Smiecinski at 702-361-1258.
