old neutered blond Husky/Mal-
amute who was surrendered
after his owner was injured and
couldnt physically care for him
anymore.
Dakota has a medium
length coat that will require
brushing regularly and intense
blue eyes. He is a medium to
large sized dog, and could use
to lose a few pounds. An ac-
tive lifestyle would do wonders
for Dakota, not only helping
him with his weight but would
help to burn o some nervous
energy he has from lack of ex-
ercise. Dogs need exercise for
both their physical and mental

This position provides outreach and in-ofce services to youth
(13-18) in Trail and the surrounding area. This is a dynamic position
requiring someone who is confdent in working with youth who may
be experiencing complex issues, who can communicate efectively
and work directly with community partners and is able to multi-task
a large caseload.
This position is funded through MCFD and covers support, referral
and advocacy through one on one counseling and group work.
Bachelors degree in Child and Youth Care, Social Work or related
feld and a minimum of 2 years experience working with high risk
youth. Equivalences may be considered
Must have a valid drivers licence and reliable vehicle
Preference will be given to persons with a Class 4 Drivers Licence
Must be fexible, available and willing to work evenings and
weekends as required
Must have solid knowledge of Trail and the surrounding
communities.

Suzuki Celebration Concert
Te annual collaborative concert of Suzuki violin, viola
and guitar teachers in the West Kootenay takes place at the
Silverton Memorial Hall on Sunday, May 13 at 3 pm.
Te theme is Together in Music which beautifully
refects the Suzuki philosophy. Tis family friendly concert
by kids, for kids, involves more than ffy students from the
studios of Daphne and Miranda Hughes, Stephanie Judy,
and David Stewart. Te program includes familiar folk
songs and engaging classical music with a few surprises.
A highlight of this event is the Suzuki playthrough
beginning with the most advanced repertoire and working
backwards gathering students until everyone is involved
in variations of Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star aka the Suzuki
national anthem.
Admission is by donation. Te brief annual general
meeting of the West Kootenay Suzuki Association
