CCL Guide Facilitating Principles: 1. Always refer to the passage given in reviewing and teaching the lesson.

If your contact has already answered the lesson in advanced, you may facilitate the discussion of the answer. If your contacts answer is wrong, lead him to the reading of the text reference. And allow him to reflect the passage and let him speak the answer and write it on the lesson worksheet. 2. Remember this: leading these lessons is not giving sermon but facilitating a Bible study. Dont preach. Just facilitate. 3. Prepare questions to stir up the interest of your contact. Questions are not necessarily Bible trivia. Be mindful that your contact is not acquainted with the Bible. 4. Intercede as you teach every lesson. The Holy Spirit will just move in ways we cant fathom. 5. Encourage your contact to ask question or clarification. When he asks and you dont know the answer, dont attempt to empress him. Be transparent (honest) in telling him that you dont know the answer. Just tell him that youll take his question as your homework and assure him that youll give the answer on the next session. Jot down the question so youll never forget. You may tap the help of spiritually maturing Christians in answering your homework. Lesson 1 1. (Refer to John 3:1-8, not John 3:5) John 3:5 really speaks about the spiritual birth, not the two kinds of birth physical and spiritual. Answer: Spiritual and physical birth. Jesus was referring to the spiritual birth. What Nicodemus understood was physical birth.

2. No. What Nicodemus understood was physical birth. 3. Being born again means being born spiritually. It is having a restored relationship with God the Father. We were once rebels because we deliberately sin. Because of Gods love, grace, and mercy, He made a way for us to be restored to Him through His son, Jesus Christ. 4. God Himself. By His Son, through His Spirit. 5. No. Its totally impossible. 6. Yes! See Nicodemus. He was a religious leader, a Pharisee. (Note: Pharisees were the most strictest, influential and vocal among the three major religious societies of Judaism.) Yet, he did not understand what Jesus was saying. 7. Absolutely NOT. See the question and answer of number 4. 8. Yes! The Bible says so. And I believe. Lesson 2 1. Spirit, soul, and body. Use the egg could be used as an analogy of the three parts of man: The shell represents the body, the albumen (egg white) is the soul, and the yolk is the spirit. Spirit is our God-consciousness. It is the one that commune with God by prayer and worship. Soul consists of mind (thinking), emotion (feeling), and will (deciding to act). It is our self-consciousness.

Body is the physical aspect of our being, the flesh. It has five senses: sight, hearing, taste, smell and touch. 2. Our spirit is dead or separated from God because of sin. 3. Absolutely no. (You may refer to lesson 1, numbers 4 and 7.) 4. Luke 13:5 Repent (Repentance) It is an act of the will in response to the truth (that mans ways are sinful and wicked, and Gods ways are perfect.). That is turning back from our wicked ways and returning back to God. It is a change of mind toward God and sin that results in a change of life. It is a Spirit-wrought (Spirit-shaped) change of mind that leads to a change of life. It is to hate the sin we once loved and to love Godly righteousness that we once ignored. Thus, it is about acknowledging our sinfulness, confessing them to God and turning back from them. John 3:16, 36 Believe (Gods saving work through Christ, Gods word and His promise we have in Christ, and Gods nature and character.) John 1:12, 13 Receive (Christs lordship and sovereignty)

Colossians 1:13, 14 - We become citizens of Gods kingdom. Romans 3:24; 5:1 We are justified (declared or made righteous) through faith. 1 John 5:12 We have eternal life. Well be with God eternally as His worshippers. Note: If your contact hasnt placed his faith (surrender) to Christ, you may proceed to sharing the Gospel and ask this question: What has God done in your heart after your heard the Gospel? If he wants Jesus to take the throne (lordship) of his life, you can now lead him to a prayer. This is the Gospel: 1 Corinthians 15:3, 4 Lesson 3 1. In Jesus Christ alone. 2. Eternal life 3. Yes! When I have Gods Son, I have life. How? Know the truth, His word and believe and trust it. 4. We receive eternal life, we will never be condemned (See also Romans 8:1), we passed over out of death into life. 5. The Holy Spirit. 6. Gods word (the Bible) 7. Confess our sins to God. Explain the italicized note. Emphasize that guilt will rob us of our joy if we hide sin from God. And that it is the Holy Spirit brings the conviction. (Review repentance. Remember we dont repent only once.) 8. He will never leave you; He will never forsake you. (Remind your contact that this is only one of the many promises God has for those who believe and trust Him.) 9. Absolutely Yes!

5. Definitely yes. 6. John 1:12 We become Gods children.

Lesson 4 1. With confidence (fearlessness and boldness). We can come to God with this attitude simply because God has become our Father. 2. Christ modeled prayer. So this is how we should pray. This is how (refers to the substance) we should express our love to the Father: v9 The meaning of this petition is, "Let thy name be celebrated, venerated, and esteemed as holy everywhere, and receives from all people proper honor. One of our expressions of our love towards the Father is praising (adoring, exalting, honoring) His name. v10 Another expression is praying for Gods will to be done on earth, upon our lives. V11 Express our dependence on God for the daily provision of food and others such as spiritual, emotional, physical and social needs. (This does not give us the license not to work.) V12 Humility in seeking Gods forgiveness and forgiving others. V13 Express our dependence and trust on God for protection from temptation and deliverance from the evil one. 3. These guidelines are not stiff rules but they are essential points and guides to consider in prayer. Psalm 66:18 Be transparent before God. Dont keep or cherish or hide sins in your heart. God already knows

them. He just wants you to be humble in seeking His forgiveness. Psalm 139:23, 24 Ask Gods Spirit to remind you of your iniquities (sin). Allow Him to search your hearts. John 14:13 Ask everything in Jesus name. Luke 6:27, 28 Blessing and praying for your enemies (those who mistreat you). Love them and do good to them. 4. Benefits of prayer John 16:23, 24 We will receive whatever we ask in Jesus Name. 1 John 5:14, 15 We will receive whatever we ask if it is according to His will. James 1:5 When we lack wisdom we can pray for it and God will give it. Remember: God has the option to respond to your prayer with a Yes, No, and Wait. YES, if what we ask is according to His will. NO, if what we ask is NOT according to His will. WAIT, if it is not yet the right time to receive what we ask (though it is in accordance to His will). 5. Gods peace which surpasses all comprehension (understanding).

Lesson 5 1. Gods love. 2. To teach us through perseverance and encouragement so we might have hope. So that we may believe (may continue to believe) that Jesus is the Messiah (Christ), the Son of God. 3. How was the Bible given? V16 Scripture (The Holy Bible) is inspired by God (Godbreathed). How will it help your life? V15 gives you wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which in Christ Jesus V16 teach (to teach us what is true), reproof or rebuke (to make us realize what is wrong in our lives), correct (corrects us when we are wrong), and train in righteousness (teaches us to do what is right). V17 prepares and equips us to do good work 4. God through His Spirit. 5. Holy Spirit 6. No. Because they dont have the capacity to understand them. Only when our spirit is revealed with truths of God by His Spirit that we can understand the things about God. (Refer to 1 Corinthians 2:10-13) 7. Faith comes from hearing, hearing the word of Christ 8. It is compared to a lamp that lights our path. Gods word lights our path. What is it to you? What does it do for you? It is relevant to every aspect of life even to this contemporary world. (You may refer to the answer of number 3 question.)

Lesson 6 1. Do not get drunk on wine but be filled with the Spirit. 2. Love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper forbearance, longsuffering), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness, gentleness (meekness, humility), and self-control (self-restraint, continence, temperance). 3. Babies in Christ (infants in Christ), carnal or worldly (people of the world or mere men) 4. Sexual immorality, impurity, debauchery (sensuality, indecency, lustful pleasures), idolatry, witchcraft (sorcery), hatred (enmities, hostility), discord (strife), jealousy, fits of rage (outburst of anger, ill temper), disputes (selfish ambition), dissensions (divisions), factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing (orgies or group sex or wild parties), and the things like these. 5. Confess sins to God. (You may let your contact do the italicized activity. Explain the italicized note.) 6. Simply ask God, our heavenly Father. 7. He will hear (give) whatever we ask for anything that pleases Him. 8. Being filled with the Holy Spirit is Gods will for our life because this will cause us not to do what our sinful nature craves (not to gratify the flesh). Lesson 7

God has given all of us 3 Ts: Time, talents, and treasures. Talents include our ability and skill. Treasures include money.
1. They were judged base on how faithful they were in handling the talents/money entrusted to them. 2. Be careful and be wise. Understand what the Lords will is.

3. Ourselves. Give ourselves first to God then to others. We can give ourselves first to God by giving our best time and strength in spending time with Him in prayer an, study and meditation of His word. 4. Love ought to be our motivation in giving. 5. 2 Corinthians 9:7 Give cheerfully, not reluctantly or out of compulsion. 1 Corinthians 16:1, 2 Regularly, proportionately, systematically (orderly) 6. In proportion to our increase. Tithe is 10% of our increase (that is allowance, salary, baon, or commission, whatsoever) is Gods. We need to return it. This 10% is not based on our net increase (that is gross or total increase less expenses and extinguishing liabilities) but on gross (that is the whole amount before deducting expenses or payments for liabilities. Offering is taken from the 90% remaining of our increase. This is given on the top of the tithe. (See Malachi 3:8-10 for the consequences of not returning our tithes and giving our offerings. To which house shall we give our tithes and offerings? To the local church we are attending, and are fed and nurtured spiritually.) 7. 2 Corinthians 9:6-14 V6 A generous harvest or reaping. The one who plants (sows) generously will get (reap) a generous crop. V7 Gods favor, God loves to bless those have blessed others. V8 Our Needs are generously provided, giving us the opportunity to bless others V9 Our good deeds are remembered V10 God will increase our resources and produce a great harvest of generosity (righteousness)

V11 We will be enriched in every way so we can always be generous. Luke 6:38 For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. God is so much concerned of the heart than of the amount. The measure is not the amount but the willingness of the heart. (Read Luke 21:1-4) Lesson 8 Baptism 1. Water baptism 2. *Go, and make disciples of all nations *Baptize in the Name of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit *teaching the new disciples to obey everything Christ commanded 3. Not water baptism. But by the precious blood of Jesus Christ. 4. Faith in Jesus Christ. 5. Christ death and Christ resurrection Communion 6. Christ death 7. Cup and bread 8. Bread symbolizes Christs body while the cup symbolizes Christs blood 9. Examine self. Examining self means reviewing self for any un-confessed sin. We need to confess our sins so we may be worthy of proclaiming Christ victory over sin on the cross.

Lesson 9 1. Church 2. a. He is the foundation. b. He is the chief cornerstone. c. He is the head. 3. That we will be holy and blameless. 4. for us to be prepared for His coming 5. Be devoted to the apostles teaching (which are Christ teachings), to fellowship, to breaking of bread (Lords Supper) and prayer. 6. For equipping of Gods people for the work of service so that the body of Christ (the church) may be built up 7. Go and make disciples of all nations Lesson 10 1. Light of the world. So other people will see our good deeds and glorify God. 2. To give the reason for the hope that I have (that hope is life in Christ) 3. Jesus Christ 4. God the Holy Spirit 5. Here am I. Send me. 6. because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes 7. Follow Jesus Christ 8. All nations. (This does not mean that we need to go to all nations of the world to obey this command though some of us are called to cross-cultural ministry. This means that we are to make disciples to the place God placed us. For example: inside the campus, at home, in the neighborhood, at our workplace.)

He is with me always, to the very end of the age. 9. To pray for workers/laborers to be sent into His harvest field.
