How To Install & Crack Or It Will Not Work !!!

OK, the first thing that you need to do is turn off your Anti-Virus program temporarily, otherwise the installation of the OrCAD program pack will take much longer, or (in the worst case scenario) fail. The second thing that you need to do is locate the setup.exe autorun program located in the installation directory of rCAD 16.3.

Now, execute it. The following window will pop up.

Click on the License Manager button, wait for a few seconds, after which the License Manager installation will begin and the following window will pop up.

Click the Next button.

Choose I accept the terms of the license agreement and afterwards click the Next button.

Dont change the destination folder. If you change it, the License Manager might not work (trust me, Ive tried it). Leave the destination folder as it is and click Next. 2

Just click Next.

Now, click the Install button and the License Manager will install itself.

At the end of the installation, the Cadence License Server Configuration window will pop up. 3

Just click Cancel.

Now click Yes. The Cadence License Manager installation window will pop up again. Now, you can click Finish.

Now, open the installation source directory and position the explorer in the Crack foler.

Now, open up the LicenseManager folder.

Copy the two files (cdslmd.exe and orcad_163.lic) and paste them in the License Manager installation directory located in C:\Cadence\LicenseManager\. This action will overwrite the original cdslmd.exe located in that directory. This is necessary for the cracking process, so be sure you click Yes when the explorer asks you if you want to replace the original file.

Now, find the orcad_163.lic file in the License Manager directory.

Now, right click on the file and choose Open.

Choose Notepad from the list of programs and untick the Always use the selected program to open this kind of file checkbox. Afterwards click OK. The following window will pop up.

Now, go to Start Settings Control Panel System and select the Computer Name tab. Now, see what the name of your computer is. For example, the name of mine is MM8080741.

Change the marked text (this_host) with the name of your computer. The name of my computer is MM8080741, so Ill put in this text instead of this_host. Be sure not to change anything else in the .lic file.

Now, hit Ctrl + S on the keyboard (in order to save changes to the file) and you can safely exit the Notepad by clicking the X button on the window. Now, lets go back to the setup window.

Click the Product Installation button. The installation of OrCAD will begin.

Click Next.

Choose I accept the terms of the license agreement and click Next.

Just click Next.

Dont change the destination path, just click the Next button.

Choose all the products form the list and click the Next button. 9

Choose None and hit the Next button.

The destination of the OrCAD Data folder is pretty much optional, but for now, I would leave it as it is. Besides, you can always move your projects if you really wanted to. Just click the Next button.

Again, just click Next. 10

Dont go back, just click Install. The installation of OrCAD will begin. This might take some time, depending on the specifications of your rig.

When the installation has finished (well, at least the installation of OrCAD and registering of the files), the following window will pop up.

Write the following in the Cadence License Client Configuration window: 5280@computer_name. Of course, you will input your computers computer name after the @, not mine. Here is what I wrote in the empty field of the Cadence License Client Configuration window. As you can see, the text in the empty field is: 5280@MM8080741.

Now, click the Next button.

When the Cadence License Client Configuration utility prompts you that the CDS_LIC_FILE license path environment variable has been properly updated with the new value you specified, click the Finish button. After this, the installation will start generating the indexes for the OrCAD help files. This will (unfortunately) take a while. Sit back and relax .

When the setup has finished installing OrCAD, just click the Finish button.

Now, lets bring up the Cadence setup window one more time.

Now, click the HDL-AMS Library button. The installation for the HDLAMS Library will begin.

Just click the Next button. 13

Choose I accept the terms of the license agreement and afterwards click Next.

Dont change the destination path, just leave everything as it is and click the Next button.

Tick every checkbox and click Next. 14

Just click Next.

Now, click Install. The installation of the HDL-AMS Library will begin. This will also take some time.

When the installer finishes installing the libraries, you can click the Finish button.

Afterwards, click the Exit button in the Cadence setup window.

Now, position the explorer in the Crack folder in the source installation directory again.

Copy the SPB_16.3.exe file in C:\Cadence\.

Now, run the patch (SPB_16.3.exe). The following window will pop up.

As the patcher says, it takes some time to patch all the files, so stand by for the patch to finish its job. Afterwards, if you want to you can delete the patching program. Now, go to Start Programs Cadence License Manager License Server Configuration Utility and the Cadence License Server Configuration utility will pop up.

Click the Browse button and locate the orcad_163.lic file.

Click the Open button.

Now click Next.

The name of your computer should appear in the Host Name: filed. If it doesnt, type it in or paste it. Again, click the Next button afterwards. If everything went according to plan, the License Server will start running and the following window will pop up.

Even though it says that the License Server was unable to start with this license file, dont worry, its up and running. To prove that its up and running, here is a screen shot from NetLimiter and the exchange of data between the License Server and some of the programs included in OrCAD.
