PROMOTE
IDEA BANK
QUICK TIPS FOR THE MONTH
WEEK 1 Find Good Partners Instead of putting too much energy into who else is providing a similar solution, identify a good partner to collaborate with. Lets use the example of an accountant partnering with a restaurant. The accountant can refer her clients who are looking for a good place for a business meeting to the restaurant. And the restaurant owner can become a client of the accountant as well as promote the accountant on through their marketing vehicles. WEEK 2 Try some unusual marketing methods By now many entrepreneurs are familiar with the traditional marketing methods (print, radio, magazine) and social media. Use your creative juices to identify new ways to reach customers. An example can be sharing your expertise at the public library or neighborhood grocery store. WEEK 3 Have you volunteered lately?

May 2012

Take some time away from the office to share information to help the next generation of entrepreneurs. Volunteer your time, energy, and any other resource you have. Use this time as an opportunity to build good will and not a selling opportunity. A school, a community group, a homeless shelter are good places to share. WEEK 4 Dont Be Afraid to Tell Your Neighbors Sometimes we want to shield how we make a living from the people next door, a floor up, over and across from us. Now more than ever is an opportunity to share what problem you are solving with your neighbors. You never know how many leads to customers will result.
