Sorry this weeks Newsletter is a day late, but Carol and I were attending a professional development day with Kath Murdoch yesterday. I have put a fantastic video, she shared with us, on our school website. Its a fantastic Peita and Grace Kayaking on the example of true Inquiry Whakatane River. Learning. During the last weekend of the April holidays, we held our annual Big Back Country Bike Ride. Once again, it was a fantastically run event by Jock and his organisation committee. We have our debrief meeting set where we will draw up our official than you list, but in the mean time Thank You to everyone who helped and contributed to the day. Especially thoughs of you who have actually left the district and keep coming back year after year. I sense one or two life time achievement awards, Russell and Rob ;-) Finally we have set the date for next years bike ride which will be again in the last weekend of the first term holidays Saturday 4th May.

Hall Meeting Wednesday 16th May @ 7.30pm We will have this meeting up at the school as it will be warmer up here. This is a de-brief for the bike ride, plus other general business. All are welcome. We will see you there. First Aid Course Juniors waiting their turn on The Wednesday 30th May @ Phantom. 6pm - 10.30pm This is will be held at school, and cost $100 per person. If your certificate is due for renewal, or if you would like to begin your Basic or Workplace Certificate, please let me know asap so I can send Sandra the numbers. Anyone who did the course last time at the school, your certificate expires in June. All are welcome, and we usually bring a plate for a shared supper.
