Statement of objectives
Brief introduction of the proposed project

A cost-effective and efficient Store Management System is very critical to ensure smooth running of todays retail business. Store management systems need to be flexible and secure to deliver the right customer service. These systems must be driven by access to real-time customer information. Only then can retailers deliver personalized offers and services that are up to the minute and targeted to each individual. We understand this and hence our Store Management System helps retailers to perform much better than their competitors. Store Management System enables retailers to streamline in-store activities, improve merchandise management, reduce labor costs, support remote store processes, and manage true store-level profit and loss. With this Store Management system, retailers can search order by order identity number, name, date, customer name, etc., accept, reject, and recall any order. One can even edit, add, and delete the categories and subcategories of products within a store after getting the inputs from the Point of Sales Management System. Retailers can also get important statistics like sales conversion rates, commissions, third party sales and revenue reports. As we know the manual processing is quite tedious, time consuming, less accurate in comparison to computerized processing. Obviously the present system is not is exception consultant encountering all the above problems. 1. Time consuming. 2. It is very tedious. 3. All information is not placed separately. 4. Lot of paper work. 5. Slow data processing. 6. Not user-friendly environment.

Scope Definition
Briefly describe the Scope of your project
The application will support only the Java- enabled mobile devices and user will have to select his current position in a high level map displayed on the phones WAP browser.

When ever the user needs he can connect to the internet through his mobile, go to the particular site that this application resides, and download it.

A smooth scrolling facility will be given to the user through the keys of the mobile device. A small rectangular shaped object will be moved across the screen so that the user can select the positions on the map efficiently.

The user will be given a very high level map in the beginning and by zooming the locations; he can get maps of the smallest roads in that area.

Each zoomed map will be taken from a server, which will be transparent to the user. Therefore, the user would not know whether he is getting these images online or offline.

Once the mobile user views a particular map and logs out, the next time he logs in to see the map, he will be given the map, which he viewed last.

Since there are various types of mobile devices available with different sizes of screens, the maps that are being displayed will be resized according to the size of the screen of the travelers mobile device.

The zoomed maps will be taken from a remote server and those maps will be stored in a database where it supports to store images.

An automated method will be available for charging the user for each of the zooms that he would request.
