Our Mission & Vision

Circle of Children is a growing child centered village which is also a free school, open to the public. The school is operated by village residents, volunteer educators and parents of the students. We teach sustainable living skills while weaving in the basic subjects. For an example, we teach math, science, and health while growing, harvesting, and preparing foods and herbal medicines. Children learn reading, writing, and social skills while designing a curriculum and teaching classes on topics they are most passionate about as they follow their natural wonder. Our program is designed to empower youth to become active stewards of the earth and inuence positive change in the world. Circle of Children is creating a new education model, one that is sustainable, nourishes the spirit, helps each individual to reach their fullest potential and inspires the world to grow a brighter future.

Just like it takes a village to raise a child, so it takes a tribe to support a village. The Family Co-operative is the urban tribe that supports and is supported by our rural Village School. Joining the co-op is free, and gives families access to resources and support within the community, including: - Co-operative Gardens - Farm to Family local food access - Classes, Workshops and Events - Aftershool Programs based in Nature and Creative Play - Home/Un-School Support - Access to Village School on Triangle Lake.
