RefugeAid: A Legacy Project of the UofMosaic Middle East Dialogue Series

Roles and Responsibilities NB: RefugeAid is being carried out in conjunction with Mdecins Sans Frontires (Doctors Without Borders) Switzerland. As such, any and all communications and promotion material related to the initiative must be approved by MSF. Please ensure that any correspondence that makes reference to RefugeAid, either online or in print, is shared with all members of the team before being published. Samir Mourani: Director of Campus Fundraising o Coordinate the individual student chapters of RefugeAid at all three campuses (UofT, York, and Ryerson). o Establish links with student unions and student organizations. o Organize campus-based fundraising events. o Work alongside UofMosaic campus presidents to publicize RefugeAid amongst dialogue participants. Jessica Boutros: Director of Community and Corporate Fundraising o Publicize RefugeAid outside university campuses. o Establish links with community organizations and potential corporate donors. o Work with the Director of Communications to prepare a fundraising package that can be used to approach corporate donors. Tejas Parasher: Director of Communications o Create online and print promotional material. This will include a fundraising package geared towards corporate donors and brochures/pamphlets that can be distributed amongst students at UofMosaic events. o Create a web presence for RefugeAid (Facebook page for students and a Wordpress-based website for corporate donors).

 Sara Zeitoun, Mariam Hamaoui, Amir Khalifa, Shereen Aly: York Campus Representatives o Work alongside the Director of Campus Fundraising to publicize RefugeAid as widely as possible. o Organize on-campus fundraising events and coordinate all the necessary logistics. o Establish links with academic departments and individual faculty-members. o Integrate RefugeAid into all UofMosaic programming for the 2012/13 academic year. Make sure that RefugeAid is publicized amongst all dialogue participants. Nikita Patel, Sama Tarfy: Ryerson Campus Representatives o Work alongside the Director of Campus Fundraising to publicize RefugeAid as widely as possible. o Organize on-campus fundraising events and coordinate all the necessary logistics. o Establish links with academic departments and individual faculty-members. o Integrate RefugeAid into all UofMosaic programming for the 2012/13 academic year.
