Landau: Facebook users voted for the winner of our contest. How did you get almost 400 votes? Jessica: I sent out mass texts every hour to everyone in my
phone reminding them to vote. My sister said the contest was my Christmas present. She stayed up all night helping me get the word out.

L: You recently had your rst 12-hour shift. What did you do? J: Just about everything. I did rounds, gave meds, started an IV,
put in an NG tube. It was my rst time starting an IV or putting an NG tube in a real person. I was more nervous than the patient.

L: What do you like about Landau scrubs? J: I like that they make me feel professional. I enjoy the respect
I feel walking down the hallway when people come and ask me questions.

L: What stands out to you when youre shopping for scrubs? J: Denitely the material. They have to be functional. And I want
them to be cuteI dont want just a plain scrub top. Id like the same kind of style at work that I have at home.

L: So youre only 20 and already graduating? J: Yes. I started studying nursing at 15. In high school, I did

Landau: Whats it like working the night shift in the ER? John Paul: When I walk in, its swamped. There are
anywhere between 15 and 30 people in the waiting room at all times, and were a 35-bed ER. We stay pretty busy.

L: What do you like most about your scrubs? JP: I just like the way they t. You guys are the only ones
who make a mens tall top. Ive never found that in another brand. I also like the cargo pockets on the pants.

L: If you were designing scrubs, how would you make them? JP: The large scrubs are made for someone big and bulky.
Theyre not made for thinner guys. I would design a large size that has length, but is a little more form-tting.

L: You said you really like the pockets. What do you keep in them? JP: Flushes, IV start kits and needlesI always have IV
starting needles, because when a patient comes in, you dont always have time to grab supplies. I always keep pens in my shirt. We still use paper charts, so pens are a must, and I like having a place to keep them.

L: What health care professional, real or ctional, do you most admire? JP: Theres a lady at work named Sue. We get a lot of
