I choose Mechanical Engineering Course as I love to learn about machines and its movements.

I believe I possess the required skills to become a successful mechanical engineer as I am a critical and analytical thinker, a good team player, possess good leadership and interpersonal skills and able to manage time efficiently besides having attention to detail. For my pre-university studies, I plan to take up A-Levels locally and hope to pursue my degree in a reputable university overseas, notably in United States, United Kingdom or Australia. I aim to work for any well-known engineering firms especially PETRONAS, at some point of my career as I want to make full use of my knowledge and skills in machines to contribute to the development of this country. Moreover, I would gain valuable exposure and the opportunity to work with professionals in a highly competitive environment.

I deserve the PETRONAS scholarship as I have an excellent academic track record and I am also active in my co-curricular activities in school. Academically speaking, I have scored consistent results in my school and I have successfully acquired 8A+ and 1A in the recent SPM examination. In addition, as a peer counselor and dorm leader, I have honed my leadership from my daily management of students besides having strong communication skills. Furthermore, I have proven that I have flair for numbers and calculations as shown in my awards from various mathematics quiz, most notably the Credit Award in Mathematics International Competitions And Assessments For Schools 2011. Therefore, I will not be easily deterred from my aspirations and my goal of becoming a world-class engineer.

In 2009, I was awarded best student in PMR trial examination as well as best student of history subject in the actual PMR examination. Despite having an important examination that year, I am active in co-curricular activities. I was elected to represent my uniform bodies in M-16 rifle shooting event at state level and managed to achieve gold medal. Moreover, I was selected to join Malacca cross country team that particular year. In 2010, I have represented the school in Smart Move Challenge FLL Malaysia Open Championship. In addition, I have successfully pass Delf A1 Diplome Detudes En Langue Francaise in which the panel of interviewers were French people. In 2011, I manage to achieve Credit Award in Mathematics International Competitions And Assessments For Schools. Besides, I am physically active and I love sports. So, I join 6th Malaysia International Ekiden Run. I have also contributed to my consumer club my achieving first place in state consumer club challenge and represented Malacca to national level.
