Remarks After several rounds of discussions, in a workshop of 30 members from various implementing partners have developed organisation guidelines. Then this was pilot tested and finalised. Work of Editing was done under CARE Budget Following Publications has been developed and printed (1) Guidelines for the Formation of Collectives of Women in Sex work and their Administration (both Kannada and English versions) (2) Facilitating the Establishment of Communitybased Organisations for Female Sex workers. (English version) 500 copies of a 112 pages ` Namma Savalthugalu (Social entitlements) booklet has been printed in Kannada language and distributed to FSW CBOs and Partner NGOs.

NA A paper on `Community Mobilisation for FSWs- A Strategic Approach to Empower Female Sex workers in Karnataka has developed and printed. Around 1,100 FSWs are shown interest in literacy classes in 5 project districts Literacy classes for the FSW communities was received overwhelming response from the community and it has been decided to continue this programme for another six months under KHPT. 3 days intensive training programme was conducted with collaboration of State Resource Centre (SRC), Mysore. Total 1,500 copies of `Akshara Arogya (literacy primer) were printed and distributed to the neo literates These trained volunteers will be members of Project Management Committees in the district who can as local resource persons to assist CBO governance and management related issues. The participants of this training programme were from Karnataka State Trainers Collective (KSTC),

Two modules have been developed, printed dafter pilot testing and distributed to all partner NGOs and CBOs. they are (1) Developing Skills among Vulnerable Communities for Advocacy with Media and Government Departments. (2) Empowering Female Sex workers to deal with Violence through Legal Knowledge and Crisis Management.

Follow up of training is going to involve formation of media cells at district levels which would include DAPCU officers. And this would ensure continuous activities initiated by the community for advocating with the media and govt. agencies.
