SubSea Controls Inspector

SubSea Controls Inspector duties include monitoring activities of the main subsea hardware contractor including review and approval of engineering design/ reference documentation associated with the controls system supply, as well as, on site representation at the manufacturing site(s). Inspectors monitor incoming inspection, follow up with equipment manufacturing & assembly, report on actual status & progress, witness component single unit as well as Final Acceptance testing, review equipment manufacturing data books and finally release the equipment certifying compliance to client requirements. Equipment inspected by Subsea controls Inspectors include but are not limited to: MCS (hardware & software), EPU, HPU, SEM, DCVs, SCM, SCMMB, SAM, SUTA, SDU, External sensors (MPFM, PT, DHPT), etc. SubSea Controls Inspectors responsibilities include: Assist QAQC Engineer in achieving compliance with project safety objectives via promotion, surveillance, audit and reporting ALL safety concerns as soon as practicably possible. In cooperation with Control System Package Leader, ensure that the Subsea Control System Package scope of work, from detailed design, through engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation and commissioning is executed in accordance with QA/QC and contractual requirements. Provide technical advice in the area of QA/QC for Subsea Control System. Ensuring that the contractor Quality Management System follows the Subsea Control System package requirements. Participate to weekly Quality meetings with contractor and suppliers. Undertake technical communication with external parties such as vendors, contractors, inspection authorities and verification bodies. Assist in maintaining Quality & Safety performance in all operational activities. Ensure product and service technical conformity on all contracts under the control of the project team. Participate to implementation of company audit schedule specific to Subsea Control System package. Witness Final Acceptance Testing

Hydraulic Testing Testing includes: Fluid Flushing. Hydraulic Decay and Proof Pressure Testing. Particle Analysis. Function tests. HyperBaric testing.

Electrical Testing SubSea controls Inspectors witness the following electrical tests: Electrical continuity & insulation resistance checks. Power supply communication & function testing. External sensors communication tests (PTPT, MPFM, DHPT, Sand & Pig detectors, etc). Transmitter calibration & communication tests. Diagnostic tests. Environmental Stress Screening. Burn-In tests.
