Engendered Origin of the word Engender: Engender, etymologically, descends from the Latin roots en (meaning to) and gener re, (meaning to produce, also the root for generate). So basically it equates to: To generate or to produce. Produce what? One of the meanings of engender is to create or produce life, that is to procreate. Inviolable There are a few things in life that cannot be questioned or violated. These have to be accepted as it is. For example, the boundaries of a nation or the limits of the human body. These need to be respected. These boundaries or limits are INVIOLABLE. Just remember the word from the context provided above: that of nation boundaries. These cannot be violated at any cost. Multitude As we can guess easily, multitude comes from multi. The same multi- appears in a number of words, with the most common being multiply. That is exactly what this prefix does: it multiplies in numbers. Multitude refers to the state of being huge or great in numbers. It can also be used to refer to collective populations, for example: India consists of vast and never ending multitudes. In brief the situation is something like this: news agencies and so on went after Palins mails when she was the Alaska Governor, there was a legal battle to get them released, and now they are finally in the open.
