8th Annual Hallmark Health Senior Citizens Health Fair Wednesday, May 23rd 10 am1 pm at the Medford Senior Center Join us for this comprehensive Health Fair, sponsored by Hallmark Health VNA and Hospice and the Council on Aging. Area health providers will share information on arthritis, cancer, cardiac disease and other health topics. FREE Health screenings, Blood Pressure, Body Mass Index, Bone Density, Blood Sugar, Hearing, and Oxygen Complimentary continental breakfast in the morning. A boxed lunch will be available. Call or see Fay in the lunch room to reserve your box lunch in advance (781-396-6010) $ 2.00 donation for lunch.

Healthy eating for successful living in older adults will be presented by Mystic Valley Elder Services began on April 26th. At 10:00am. This 6-week course is interactive and promises to provide you with solid information to assist you in lifestyle changes that can promote better health. The sessions are 2 hours, include a boxed lunch. Meal preparation and cooking demos are also a part of the program. Sign up today by calling 781-396-6010. Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Health Plan options for people with Medicare, seminar on Tuesday May 22 at 1:00pm at the Medford Senior Center. The presentation includes an explanation of Medicare, including the Medicare drug benefit. It also shows how Medigap plans and Medicare Advantage plans work with Medicare. Please call 781-396-6010 to reserve your seat today. AARP Driver Safety Program June 20 from 10am to 3pm, Cost $12 for AARP members $14.00 for nonmembers. AARP offers a 5 hour classroom refresher course. No written exam! No driving test. Just a great opportunity to better understand the updated technologies in new vehicles, rules of the road and to learn strategies to compensate for age-related changes in vision, hearing, and response time. Drop-In Center Blood Pressure Clinic provided by Greater Medford VNA, Thursday May 3rd from 10:00am to 12:00noon. All are welcome

Low Vision Support Group will meet on May 18th at 10:30am, new members welcomed. The Low Vision support group is sponsored by the Mass Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired. The group is for individuals who are losing their vision and would like to learn from and listen to others. Greater Medford Visiting Nurses Association sponsors a support group on Wednesday May 2nd for people living with Parkinsons disease and other Movement Disorders from 10:30am to noon. Diabetes Support Group will meet May 24th at 11:00am. Diane Doucette, PRN, MSN, Certified Diabetic Counselor, please stop in, all new members welcome. NewDr. Conoi, Podiatrist will be available at the Medford Senior Center on May 31st beginning at 1:30pm, for appointments please call 781-396-6010. $40.00 per appointment. Attorney John Donahue from Law for Life - Beginning 10:30am on May, Attorney Donahue will be available for 15/20 minute sessions, free advice and or information.

Reflexology with Jane Aire Beckwith, MsT AMTA certified and licensed will be offering reflexology on Monday May 7th and May 21st. Reflexology provides deep relaxation on your hands or feet, strengthens immune system, and improves your health. Mondays from 12:30 to 2:30. She offers 20 minute sessions for $15. $5 deposit is required. The Registry of Motor Vehicles will offer a free hour long presentation on May 8th at 1:00pm at the Medford Senior Center. Whole Foods Cooking ClassMay 4th at 1pm, at the Medford Senior Center. Join Carla for cooking demonstration with a healthy spring lunch. Sign up in advance is required; please call 781-396-6010. Laughter is the Best medicine will be presented June 19 at 1pm by Mike Ferrick, RN, Clinical Enrichment Liaison and Bernman, Director of Communications, present on Elder Care Options and the Chelsea Jewish Foundation. The foundation is non-profit healthcare company serving the Greater Boston and North of Boston areas. There are two skilled nursing facilities, two assisted livings, and three community-based agencies. They are-winning long and short-term skilled nursing and rehab centers located ons Hill.
