Read the following letter and discuss whether the sender of the letter is happy with
his/her new home. Identify the reasons for the sender's happiness/unhappiness and come up with possible solutions to solve the problem by saying what she should / could/ has to do. Why do you
suppose the family had to move?
Dear Elisabeth,
I'm sorry I haven't written to you in a long time but as you know I have been busy with
our moving into a new house. Do you remember I mentioned about that in my previous letter?
Well, my parents bought a flat in the suburbs of London and two days ago we finally finished
moving all our things to our new home. Some home it is! Small, crowded with all the things we
brought with us, not enough sunlight in any of the rooms, no balcony, in just one word, horrible!
On top of this, we only have one bathroom and I have to wait in line to enter, especially in the
morning.
You should see my new room -or better said mine and my brother's because we now have to share the same bedroom, imagine that! It is so small we can barely move around, not to
mention that I had to give away some of my toys because there wasn't enough room for all of them. I must say that was a really hard thing to do. What should I do? Please write to me soon
and give some advice to help me accommodate the situation.
