Effective Discipline Plans Course # 32476 Jodi Newbold Section # 37549

This course will outline how to create and implement an effective discipline plan for classroom teachers. Participants will gain an understanding of how to establish effective rules, rewards, and consequences.

Small-Group Instruction Course # 596 Jodi Newbold Section # 37551

This course will outline the basic steps of how to implement small-group instruction for classroom teachers. Participants will gain an understanding of how to meet individual student needs through the use of small-group instruction. The duration of the course will be three weeks. Teachers will submit an original small-group instruction lesson plan aligned to DESK standards.

Smooth Transitions Course # 696 Carrie Hendricks Section # 37550

This course will assist teachers in developing smooth and efficient transitions. Participants will gain an understanding of the importance of smoothly transitioning from one place or lesson to another for students. By the completion of this course participants will have identified transitions that will assist in their classroom to move students from one idea to another.

Effective Questioning Course # 32985 Carrie Hendricks Section # 37553

This course was developed to assist in developing and implementing effective classroom instruction. Participants will gain an understanding of engaging students in the learning process by using a variety of questioning strategies to ask higher-level questions.

Formative Assessment: How and When Course # 697 Megan Hennessy Section # 37554

This course will assist teachers in developing effective formative assessments. Participants will gain an understanding of meaningful assessments by learning what formative assessment is, as well as when and how to use them appropriately. By the completion of this course participants will have created a learning progression and identified a timeline for appropriate assessments throughout the learning progression.

The iGeneration Course # 32984 Megan Hennessy Section # 37552

This course was developed to inform educators of some of the technological tools that are available to students today and educational uses of them. By the end of this course, participants will have gained an understanding of the benefits of utilizing technology in the classroom as a tool to engage students in the learning process.
