Why Wood Pelleting?

Use of wood pellets as a solid fuel


common wood pellet sizes: 6 mm (Austria, Germany), 8 mm (Scandinavia) burned directly at the stove (e.g. Austria) pelletized for transport reasons (volume reduction) (e.g. Sweden) spec. volume (raw material): app. 5 20 l/kg spec. volume (wood pellets): app. 1.5 1.7 l/kg pellets are transported to large power plants and are ground again due to burning properties
