Project Description:
Advantage Financial is a part of AMS Advantage , an ERP product suite for the business of State and local governments in the USA. AMS Advantage has over 190 installations across USA. It is Web based system designed specifically to meet the specialized, complex financial activities and business needs of US State and Local governments, state governments, school districts, and higher education institutions. ADVANTAGE Financial incorporates a variety of business functions, such as budgeting, general and cost accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, resulting in a single, integrated system that addresses key financial management processes that an entity needs. In addition to the standard accounting functions of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger, ADVANTAGE Financial also performs the specialized functions of encumbrance control, fund accounting, grants and project management. Using data provided by users, ADVANTAGE Financial maintains a financial database that can be used to produce a variety of detail and summary level information. The ADVANTAGE FINANCIAL 3.x is a J2EE application that uses Versata. Versata is a tool and framework which helps implement the J2EE specifications, while delivering other benefits. Versata combines a rules-based design environment called the Versata Logic Studio with an automated execution framework called the Versata Logic Server. The Versata Logic Server (VLS) is an application server from Versata Inc.

Responsibilities:

Preparing Technical Design (TD) for new tasks as per the Functional Design (FD).

Development, enhancement and customization of the application pages, batch processes and reports. Analysis of Existing Issues and defects. Unit testing of the module plus Shakedown testing. Coordinating with the functional team (Offshore/Onsite) in case of any functional issues/clarification.

Analyzes change requests to determine the scope of work and estimate the level of effort for application changes Mentoring new members in various phase of development and defect resolution, also conducting technical training session for them.
