(2)(a)IfashipisfoundbyaPartynottobeincompliancewiththestandardsfor compliantfueloilssetforthinthisAnnex,thecompetentauthorityofthe Partyisentitledtorequiretheshipto: (i) Presentarecordoftheactionstakentoattempttoachieve compliance;and (ii) Provideevidencethatitattemptedtopurchasecompliantfueloilin accordancewithitsvoyageplanand,ifitwasnotmadeavailable whereplanned,thatattemptsweremadetolocatealternative sourcesforsuchfueloilandthatdespitebesteffortstoobtain compliantfueloil,nosuchfueloilwasmadeavailableforpurchase.
