It shall also be useful to any individual user, developer, tester, project manager or documentation writer that needs to understand the basic system architecture and its specifications. The following are the potential uses for some one of the reader types:

a) Developer: The developer who wants to read, change, modify or add new requirements

into the existing program, must firstly consult this document and update the requirements with appropriate manner so as to not destroy the actual meaning of them and pass the information correctly to the next phases of the development process.
b) User: The user of this program reviews the diagrams and the specifications presented in

this document and determines if the software has all the suitable requirements and if the software developer has implemented all of them.
c) Tester: The tester needs this document to validate that the initial requirements of this

programs actually corresponds to the executable program correctly. This document contains the necessary requirement and some aspects of the analysis of the requirements and is organized based on the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers - Std. 830 - 1993 Standard for Software Requirements Specification (IEEE 830-1993).

1.3 Scope The HRM system to be developed will be called the HuRePa and will use MySQL as a database engine which is a Relational Database Management System (RDMS), PHP and JavaScript tools. It will be OS independent meaning that it will be able to run on both the Windows and Linux/Unix platform.

This system will only be able to deal with issues of personnel management and payroll and does not, at the moment include functionality/interaction with the web. Therefore it will only be possible to access the system from the Local Area Network or a Private Virtual Network of Muthoga Gaturu and Company advocates.

There are possibilities of the system being scaled up to Mobile Application adaptability but this aspect is beyond the scope of this project at the moment. Again, the system is not meant to include e-mail functionality nor will it be able to export/import data to/from office standard applications like Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and so, on although there will be a provision for this. The system will not have an inbuilt help other than the documentation and the users manuals provided at the end of the project. These are functions that can easily be included in the future enhancement of the system.
