Aman ki Asha "Hope for Peace" is a campaign jointly started by the two leading media houses The Jang

Group in Pakistan and The Times of India in India. The campaign aims for mutual peace and development of the diplomatic and cultural relations between the two nations in South Asia. It started on 1 January 2010. Basically this campaign was started to love-based people-to-people campaigns between the children and people of both countries. According to Jang group this campaign is very successful. Basically the purpose of Aman ki Asha was peace in this continent. And promote love among people of both countries. Another purpose of Aman ki Asha is to increase business and trade among both countries. In this context a business conference was held in Lahore. Nearly 100 Indian and 350 Pakistani business leaders meet in Aman ki Asha Indo-Pak Business conference and they strongly endorsed the peace process and efforts to build close economic and trade relations. The Conference, partnered by the Pakistan Business Council and the Confederation of Indian Industry, was the largest and the highest profile in the history of both countries. Nearly 100 Indian and 350 Pakistani business leaders attended, and strongly endorsed the peace process and efforts to build close economic and trade relations between the two South Asian neighbors. In parallel with the trade and investment tract, the Aman ki Asha committees on healthcare and capital market also held meetings. The consensus by the major political parties on Aman ki Asha's objectives regarding peace, dialogue and trade between India and Pakistan was highly encouraging. Speakers included Pakistan's top political leadership including Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan. They all agreed that Pakistan-India peace process is vital for the prosperity and welfare of the people

of the two countries. The other purpose of Aman Ki Asha was prisoners exchanging process among both countries India and Pakistan. In this context Pakistan already released many prisoners and India released Dr Khaleel Chishti. Leaders of Hindu and Sikh fraternities said Aman ki Asha is in the interests of both the countries. Leaders in the two countries should be brought round to talk more about peace. Aman ki Asha will help axe the hatreds and whet the love, adding the people in the two

countries want peace and we should respect the desires of the people. Aman ki Asha is a welcome step in the right direction.
