ABSTRACT

The project titled Development of a feature-rich, practical online application for the Training and Placement Dept. of the college is designed using Active Server Pages .NET with Microsoft Visual Studio.Net 2005 as front end and Microsoft SQL Server 2000 as back end which works in .Net framework version 2.0. The coding language used is C# .Net. This project is aimed at developing an online application for the Training and Placement Dept. of the college. The system is an online application that can be accessed throughout the organization and outside as well with proper login provided. This system can be used as an application for the TPO of the college to manage the student information with regards to placement. Students logging should be able to upload their information in the form of a CV. Visitors/Company representatives logging in may also access/search any information put up by Students. A person should be able to Access/ Search CVs/information from the first page (only read access),login to the system through the first page of the application ,change the password after logging into the system, Upload his/her CV, See/change his/her details, Get help about the application on how to use the different features of the system. An admin login should be present who can read as well as remove any uploads. Preferably it should be given to the TPO.

The coding language used is C# .Net. The project contains two main modules: 1. Administrator 2. Student Administrator: The admin module has eight sub modules. Those sub modules are described as follows. The college placement officer is the administrator. Department Placement Interview Student New User Search The department page contains the information of the departments such as ECE, EEE, CSE, IT etc., When entered into one department , that page displays the objective of that department. After view that page, we can go to the home page. Placement: The placement page contains the information of the student who had placed in which company along with the date of selected in that company and their ID number. Interview:

Department:

The interview page contains the details of the schedule of the company which visits to the college on the coming days. It also contains the eligibility criteria for the company. The criteria such as tenth marks, higher secondary marks, degree marks as well as aggregate percentage and the arrear details. These are to be specified by the admin for the purpose of intimate to the student. Student: The student page contains the details of the student according to the department and the option to update the placed student details. In the student details page, the departments belonging to the college are displayed. After select the department, it shows the student records such as name and student id. New user: The admin has rights to create the new user login page along with their details (profile). The Details such as user id, user name, password, confirm password, remainder question and answer, then click the submit button to update the new user profile. Search: The search page is act as a search engine. By using this page the admin can easily identified the data according to the suitable category. Student: The student module contains three sub modules. Those modules are Department Profile Interview

Department:

The department page contains the information of the departments such as ECE, EEE, CSE, IT etc., When entered into one department , that page displays the objective of that department. After view that page, we can go to the home page.

Profile: The profile page contains the information of the student who has entered currently. He/she has rights to edit their profile up to the current status. Interview: The interview page contains the details of the schedule of the company which visits to the college on the coming days. It also contains the eligibility criteria for the company. EXISTING SYSTEM The Existing College management system provides a complete On-Line solution for your college administration. Student Fees Collection, Student Information, Scholarship Management are the main modules of our College Management Systems. The objective of these modules is to capture information with respect to various parameters that required during setting unto of Placement Management modules and process the captured data to churn out requirement results Dynamic and highly motivated, with a liberal & modern outlook on education and organization and a contemporary vision and working style, Educational Management are tying to Incorporate modern concepts, amenities & system to create a forward and vibrant institute, comparable with best & most modern in country. As per our study in the education segment all education institute will require system to ensure fully automated process in each department and section of school, institute.

PROPOSED SYSTEM The Training and Placement Office is actively involved in imparting in developing technical and soft skills to students. In collaboration with the Carrier Guidance Cell of the college, the T and P office, imparts training through carrier guidance programs to prepare the students for their ready placement in industries. Training also covers assistance for in-plant training and guidance for Post graduate studies such as M.Tech. and MBA. Entrepreneurship development programs are also conducted periodically to inculcate self reliance and self employability in students. Professional Aptitude Council (PAC) examination was conducted in our college. Easy solutions for College Management Systems, Web-Based systems, document management and custom development needs. We provide complete online solution for college management. Company Profile:

User can maintain the company profile about company, company address, which type of category, phone no. User can maintain type of Placement Company or training company Attend Master: User can maintain the records to student and company which student apply to which one company and each one student apply to how many company. Selection Master: User can maintain the record about company and student. Student was selected or not, which student was get qualify which round and single student is selected how many companies. Tanning Master User can record about the training companies; set the student will go which companies, which student drop the training, which student want to change the place of training Remainder Maker: User can create the reminder throw by remainder machine Working Note Pad: This is a special document-making pad for placement section .the important is pad user can save the document in database and create the file

CONCLUSION
It is concluded that the application works well and satisfy the owner and customers. The application is tested very well and errors are properly debugged. The site is simultaneously accessed from more than one system. Simultaneous login from more than one place is tested. In this system we have done the Development of a feature-rich, practical online application for the Training and Placement Department of the college to meet the requirement to satisfy the placement cell process in the college.

The site works according to the restrictions provided in their respective browsers. Further enhancements can be made to the application, so that the web site functions very attractive and useful manner than the present one. The speed of the transactions become more enough now.
