Pros about Slavery - Keeps economy going. - Cotton -Tobacco -Rice - Control over population - More work is done - Slaves who have nowhere to go can have a free shelter - Owners earn money while slaves get to have a place to live and eat - Slaves get treated better than people who work in Northern factories - Slavery had existed throughout history and was the natural state of mankind - If Africans did not come to America, they would have not been part of a very grand history of United States - While working in the plantations, workers can rest and talk with each other while in the factories, they will have no time to do anything they want -Africans can learn to read and write while working - Even if the owners buy the slaves, the slaves are allowed to buy their own freedom which gives them enough time to learn new skills of farming and then buy his/her freedom - Women can work - Added a new culture to America - Lowered cost for products which gave more profit to the people - If you meet a kind owner, your life will be way better than a normal whites peoples life

Cons about Anti- Slavery - Ruins the economy of many places in the South - Africans who have nowhere to go will do nothing but fill the population of America - African will be poor due to unemployment - More poor people in the streets without shelter and food to eat - All the Africans who work in factories wont have a chance to learn anything new due to lack of resting time - Truthfully, white people were more intelligent and had more knowledge about everything, if Africans were to control America, America would not have been a stable country as well as a flourishing nation like today - Getting rid of slavery would end up in bloodshed and other evils such as war and political disasters

Comments - Nations such as Greece, Rome, and Britain had slaves, why cant we have them? - Slavery has been around since the biblical times - Every conqueror took slaves from countries that they have conquered as tokens of victory - Ethiopians raided Africa for slaves when they needed cheap labor - Alexander the Great took slaves - Abraham Lincoln, who is our president has slaves, can slave only be owned by upper class people? - If Africans get fired from factories of the North, they are left alone to survive themselves but if you are a slave you get take cared of no matter what - Are white people from the North willing to come to the plantations in the South to work for the owners? - Its not only the South who had slaves in the start - Women have barely any rights in the society, how are they supposed to find work in the North? It would be much easier to just be working in a plantation without worrying about money and shelter - If slavery did not start Barack Obama would not have become a president
