INTRODUCTION
In this study, the influence of rainfall variability and LULC change induced sediment and nutrient flux to the coastal primary productivity were further investigated using remote sensing-GIS and empirical models. It aims to determine the coastal primary productivity in the eastern central Arabian Sea. It is also focus on the determination of sediment and nutrient flux to coastal area using RUSLE model, nutrient empirical relationships and sediment delivery ratio. The relationships between the sediment and nutrient flux to coastal primary productivity were further evaluated.
STUDY AREA
140 to 160 N 700 to 760 E Coastal Area and Watersheds of Southwestern Maharashtra, Goa, and western Karnataka Soil sampling is done in Goa Water sampling done in Zuari River and mouth and off coast of Zuari-Mandovi River Land Use and Cover and Bathymetric information of the study area are shown on the figures
