Looking at the snow on the ground, it is hard to believe it is 28 degrees in Africa. Following another successful visit to Uganda and Kenya, we are pleased to share the latest developments with you. Team are the source of hope!


The latest team trip to Uganda proved to be challenging and rewarding for all involved. Tutors from Hopwood Hall College and the NHS Academy in Liverpool traveled to Jinja on a pre-visit to enable their respective students to take part in the trip of a lifetime in 2009 They experienced the highs and lows of Africa, whilst visiting schools, villages, hospitals and orphanages in the Jinja area.

Masai Bob is a pioneer


Bob, the project manager for Agapao Loitoktok in Kenya, works with young people in his community delivering health care messages that are life changing.

Training resources being developed


Following the success of the leadership manual, Agapao International is developing 3 more training resources to expand knowledge and empower communities in developing countries. The teacher training manual will provide advice on how to deliver classes in a more interactive way. The community development manual will give practical examples of sustainable projects. The health care manual will provide relevant and simple methods to prevent illness.

Leadership Training in Nairobi


Community leaders and young people attended an Agapao training event in Nairobi, where they were given the skills to develop their own community projects. They intend to take the message of love to thousands across the city.
