CONSULTANT is supported by a database of approximately 500 clinical signs/symptoms, 7000 diagnoses/causes, and 18,000 literature references.

Access to BiologyBrowser is free and it provides users with information through interactive discussion forums, quality-controlled Web links, science news, and other free resources. Developed by Thomson Scientic this resource provides the facility to browse by organisms, subjects, and geography.
VetCancer Registry
http://www.vetcancerregistry.com/ The VetCancer Registry (VCR) disseminates epidemiologic data pertaining to cats and dogs with tumours diagnosed by histopathology. Any licensed veterinarian can submit a case via the Internet. Cases can be freely viewed and ltered searching options are available. Each case presents basic information, diagnostic information, and initial and secondary treatment options. Information is provided on the history and purpose of the VCR, registration, and case submission process.

Databases contain bibliographic, factual, or statistical information, which is usually accessed by searching for a specic term or selecting from a browseable menu. Here is a selection of different types of databases:

It currently provides access to over 16 million MEDLINE citations and author abstracts from over 4800 biomedical journals published in the United States and in 70 other countries.

MEDLINEplus: pets and pet health

A set of pre-formatted MEDLINE searches is also provided, covering pet therapy and zoonoses, providing free access to the MEDLINE database. Provided on the Web by the U.S. National Library of Medicine.
