Subject: My Weekend in Marlette

We arrived in Marlette on Saturday afternoon just in time to drop off our stuff at my in-laws house and rest for a little bit before heading over to the Marlette High School to see my niece perform during her dance recital. On Sunday, I took Kayla and my niece, Mea, around town where I took a few pictures of them in front of the library, and then we stopped at a couple of stores in Marlette.

Later on, my oldest niece, Allyson, and I headed out on a short walk to take some random pictures from around town. We got as far as the Train depot, and then just kept on going. Shepherd has a train depot and tracks that go through the edge of town. One of my favorite photos is the photo I took of some train cars which had been parked nearby the Shepherd Trail. I wanted to try something similar while we were in Marlette. Our mission was to take random pictures around town. I have to admit that Allyson had me beat. While I thought I was being pretty random by taking pictures of street signs and freestanding archways, Allyson was actually stopping to take pictures of anything she spotted. Our path took us passed the train depot, down by the schools, over to the pool (where we hoped to meet our families, but unfortunately the pool was closed), and then back to Allysons house. When Im taking pictures, I like to focus on landmarks, objects that form a pattern, or catch my eye.
