AC-Win and AC-Win MQ Enhanced Attendant Consoles for HiPath 4000 and Hicom 300 E / H

AC-Win is a PC-based attendant console application for Windows which provides enhanced functions for the HiPath 4000 realtime IP system and the Hicom 300 E / H communication server. Depending on the size of the system and the company infrastructure, one or more attendant consoles can be installed and allocated to attendant console groups. There are up to sixty different AC-WIN features, which can be easily operated using a Windows interface. The user-friendly interface permits convenient switching of both internal and external calls. Incoming calls can be displayed in two (AC-Win 4.0/5.0) or twelve (AC-Win MQ 2.0/3.0) waiting queues. MQ stands for multiple queue.

System concept
The AC-Win enhanced attendant console is connected to the UP0/E subscriber interface in HiPath 4000 or Hicom 300 E/H systems via an integrated PCI plug-in card. The handset, headset and, if necessary, the recorded announcement equipment or tape recorder are connected to the PC. The attendant console can be used with any commercially available PC. Fujitsu-Siemens PCs are, however, recommended. For further information see: http://sag.fujitsu-siemens.com/sag/de/ top_sag/index.html Rubrik Sales Packages for ICN -> AC-Win). No specific hardware components are required apart from the UP0/E card. The functions of this system are provided exclusively by software.

Switching functions
Incoming calls are signalled either acoustically or visually on the PC screen. Calls can be forwarded by entering the telephone number of the person for whom the call is intended, or by clicking on the stored extension number in a separate window. The attendant can switch back and forth between the different windows which are open at the same time. Other functions such as hold, call pickup, disconnect, switching or call charge display can only be activated using the functions keys and mouse. The following is a list of some of the attendant console functions available on AC-Win/ AC-Win MQ:

Headset (optional)
Attendants who make a large number of calls and at the same time have to cope with other jobs, such as data input, sometimes need a "third hand". The feather light, plugin headset makes matters easier.

BLF-Win busy lamp field (optional)

The BLF-Win Windows application displays the status (free, out of order, ringing, all diverted, etc.) of individual users in the telecommunication system in different colors in a separate window. The operator can thus check the status of a user before routing the call. A user can be dialed directly from the BLFWin application at the push of a button if an internal connection to the AC-Win application is established. BLF-Win functions can also be used in DS-Win. The status of a user highlighted in DS-Win with the highlight bar is determined and displayed with a spontaneous "snapshot" status request.

DS-Win Directory Service (optional)

The DS-Win directory service is a Windows application which enables the rapid forwarding of incoming calls to requested subscribers. The subscribers are searched for in a local Access database. As part of the Hicom Domain Management Service HDMS or HiPath 4000 Manager, the DS-Win database is automatically synchronized with the central HDMS database. It is possible to install DS-Win on the enhanced attendant console with AC-Win.

Customer benefits and cost-effectiveness

All of the functions required at the attendant console are concentrated on one terminal. All of the functions are integrated in one highly ergonomic user interface. The recording of personal messages by AC-Voice greatly facilitates the operators tasks. Standard greetings and messages are no longer required due to the automatic repetition of recorded messages by AC-Voice.

The simultaneous use of standard standard PC software with AC-Win helps to increase attendant productivity when the switchboard is not busy. The use of an open PC system facilitates expansion (DS-Win, solutions for visually impaired operators, etc.). The use of competitively priced PC hardware and software.
