ICC YAF Europe Chapter Event

Berlin, 29-30 June 2012

A unique opportunity for young lawyers and in-house counsel working in the field of international arbitration to attend a 2-day conference with renowned arbitrators, members of the Secretariat of the ICC International Court of Arbitration and fellow arbitration practitioners, in an informal atmosphere. The ICC YAF, a network of more than 3000 members, includes five Regional Chapters (Africa, Middle East & Turkey, Asia, Europe & Russia, Latin America, and North America). Many regional YAF meetings have taken place over the past years throughout the world. After three ICC YAF Global Conferences, this event is the first Regional European Chapter event to attract participants from all corners of Europe. What to expect? Debates and academic sessions will be held during a 2-day programme, with stars and rising stars in international arbitration. Topics will focus on case management techniques in the context of the 2012 ICC Rules of Arbitration and include a case study under these Rules. Networking: a unique opportunity to exchange experiences with other YAF members, ICC staff, and peers from all corners of Europe. In an informal and fun social atmosphere, participants will strengthen links within the young arbitration community while enjoying being in Berlin. More than just a conference, this event will allow time for networking and social activities such as a boat trip on the Spree, a visit to the Dome of the German Reichstag and drinks in an authentic Berlin location. Who should attend? This conference is aimed at arbitration practitioners of approximately 40 years and under: counsel, arbitrators, corporate counsel or academics mainly from all over Europe; all YAF members and of course non-YAF members.
