Quit Smoking in 30 minutes

the least amount of side effects that any stopsmoking program can offer. This treatment has a proven success rate of over 85%, and has been successfully used in Europe and Canada with very little publicity here in the United States. This is a program about finally quitting smoking without weight gain and other side effects, and without using other expensive products that continue to keep you addicted to nicotine. Without weight gain, stress and other side effects, this process is accomplished with a low-level light laser. This laser is painlessly applied to the ears, forehead, face, wrists and feet, and takes about 30 minutes. The light is specifically directed at acupuncture sites that help release natural body chemicals to regulate neurotransmitters, endorphins, ATP and hormones. The release of these natural body chemicals reduces cravings, prevents weight gain and lessens withdrawal distress. This is not a psychological treatment. It is a welldocumented physiological, biochemical process that occurs to the cells and body after specific areas of the anatomy are exposed to the proper levels of cold laser beams. (For more scientific detail, please see our website at the FAQ section of quitsmokingin30minutes-wi.com.) Over 2.0 million Americans have quit smoking using laser therapy. For many, laser therapy has been the only method to successfully stop smoking as well as prevent the weight gain and stress usually involved. Our method is effective for all types of nicotine addiction cigarettes, pipes, cigars even chewing tobacco! Our introductory price is $295. This covers the initial treatment and two follow-up treatments if needed. Most people do not require all three. In addition to immediately improving your overall health, at the present cost of cigarettes, you could recoup your money for the laser treatment in as little as 1-2 months! Are you ready to quit smoking? Find out more about this breakthrough treatment at quitsmokingin30minutes-wi.com, or CALL Dr. Douglas Kincaid DPM Toll Free at to get started on a smoke-free life today!

Statewide housing market continues rebound

Wisconsin home sales recorded strong growth again in May, continuing the trend that began last summer. Sales of existing homes were up 18.9 percent in May 2012 compared to May 2011, according to the most recent monthly report by the Wisconsin REALTORS Association (WRA). In addition, median home prices in the state rose 1.5 percent to $138,000 relative to the same month last year. Its good to see Wisconsins housing market continuing a robust rebound from the depressed levels of the recession, said Rob Keefe, Chairman of the WRA board of directors.

He noted that the monthly growth rates have been in the double digits since July 2011, and that year-to-date home sales are up over 20 percent in the state. Within the state, May home sales were strongest in the Central region, up 31.8 percent, followed by the Northeast and Southeast regions, both of which grew in the neighborhood of 21 percent. Also strong was the South Central region, which was up 18.5 percent over the 12-month period, followed by the West region, which grew 14.5 percent. Finally, sales in the North region were up a solid 8.1 percent over the period. The supply of housing remains high with over a years worth of inventory on the market, but this is well below the levels of last May when there was a 17- month supply of unsold homes, said Keefe. An improving job market is helping the housing sector in Wisconsin. Between January and April, the last month for which employment estimates are available, Wisconsin added just over 19,000 jobs on a seasonally adjusted basis, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. This employment growth actually outpaces the growth in the labor force, which increased by more than 14,000 over the period. Weve always maintained that job growth is the key to sustained growth in the housing market, and the steady reduction in the state unemployment rate is one indication of an improving job market, said WRA President and CEO, Michael Theo. Wisconsins unemployment rate stood at 6.7 percent in April, which is well below the national rate of 8.1 percent that same month. With mortgage rates at 3.8 percent on a 30-year fixed-rate mortgage and an improving labor market, the ongoing growth of home sales is not surprising, said Theo. The statewide median price increased 1.5 percent in May compared to May 2011. This is now the third straight month of modest upward movement in statewide median prices, although the regional picture is more mixed with three regions either up slightly or flat in May, which were the Southeast, West and South Central regions; and other regions down by modest margins, which were the North, Central and Northeast regions. Even though statewide prices have increased, the reduction in mortgage rates has combined with slight improvements in the projected statewide median family income to increase affordability compared to last year. The Wisconsin REALTORS Association is one of the largest trade associations in the state, representing over 13,400 real estate brokers, sales people and affiliates statewide.

Germantown falls to Sun Prairie in state semifinal

The Germantown varsity girls softball season came to an end at the state Division I semifinal June 16, as the Warhawks lost to Sun Prairie 6-3. Germantown finished the season with a 24-5 record. Sun Prairie jumped out to a 2-0 lead as Kristen Hoppman hit a home run that cleared the left center fence, allowing her and Briana Peterson to score. Germantown got on the board in the second inning as Erika Swoboda got on base by an error, getting to second base. She then stole third base and scored on an error. Germantown evened the score in the third inning as Erika Berry and Lauren Renard both singled. Berry then scored on a hit by Addy Green Sun Prairie took the lead in the next inning as Hannah Running singled and advanced on a throwing error. She then scored when Heidi Morrical singled and advanced from third to home on an error. Morrical reached second on the error and later scored on a sacrifice bunt. Trailing 4-2, Germantown cut into the lead in the bottom of the fourth inning as Cemke reached base on an error, advanced to second on a hit by Felicia Kons and then reached third on a throwing error. Cemke then scored on a single by Bechler. Sun Prairie put the game out of reach by scoring runs in the fifth and seventh innings. The five-year-old businesscomprised of well-trained and enthusiastic professionalsspecializes in the design and installation of decorative concrete landscape curbing. Porter said that the positives of such an approach are many, and the usual landscaping drawbackshigh costs, picky upkeepare virtually non-existent. Concrete edging or landscape curbing is an affordable way to beautify your landscaping with a maintenance-free product, he said. We charge $6 per foot which you wont find anywhere else. The curbing can be installed just about anywhere a home or business owner would likearound trees, flowerbeds and sidewalks, to name a few possibilitiesand once it is there, it will be there a long, long time, Porter promised. The product also works with all types of landscaping and provides side benefits, the owner noted. Whether you have new construction or an existing landscape, landscape curbing is a great option, he said. In addition to adding beauty and value to your home, landscape curbing also helps to contain your landscaping and, even better, helps prevent pesky weeds from creeping into your mulch and garden areas, as the weight

(The machinery) will produce a concrete edging for commercial and residential landscapes, he explained. Since the machine produces and extrudes its own formed concrete edging, there is no need for form work. Many color and stamping options are available, allowing for a more personalized endproduct. We offer many color and design options, as well as a number of stamping patterns, making it possible for you to truly customize your landscape curbing, Porter said. Sussex Village officials sought to clarify issues related to exploratory work for the creation of a possible tax incremental finance district (TIF) for a future corporate center. The MLG firm is considering developing an industrial park on 120 acres of property west of Kohl's and south of Hwy. VV. In a TIF, taxes normally directed at local units of government (village, school district, county and technical college) are instead used to pay for infrastructure improvements. The local units of government later benefit from the increased value generated by the improvements. The Village Board approved a grant from the village's Community Development Authority June 12 that would help cover the cost of work associated with studying the proposed TIF. During the Village Board meeting several residents questioned involvement in the development of the industrial park. The village recently addressed several concerns in a statement on its website (www.village.sussex.wi.us/). Among the questions the village sought to address in the statement were: The need for a corporate center. "Another Corporate Center will add to the property tax base, will add jobs to the Village, diversifies the economy and supports further retail growth in the community. While the size of the proposed Corporate Center is approximately a third of the last Corporate Center, it has the potential to con-

tinue the tradition in Sussex of promoting business development and tax base," village officials said in the statement. The need for a TIF for the corporate center. After explaining a TIF, village officials indicated that the village " has used TIF on many projects in its history, including both of the major industrial/corporate centers, downtown projects and certain residential projects. A TIF is one of the few economic development tools that local governments have in Wisconsin and it is used extensively in Southeast Wisconsin." Village officials added that a TIF district has to pass "rigorous" financial analysis and final approval is given by a board comprised of representatives from all the local taxing units and an at-large citizen representative. The corporate center and the cannery site. The village has sought to spur development at the site of a onetime cannery on the east side of the community. While the Mammoth Springs project was proposed in 2002, the project was unable to proceed for a variety of reasons. Referring to the cannery site, village officials stated: "The Village is also considering the possibility of a TIF for the downtown development around the former Cannery property." AAA projects increase in travel over Fourth of July holiday

AAA projects 42.3 million Americans will journey 50 miles or more from home during the Independence Day holiday weekend, a 4.9 percent increase over the 40.3 million people who traveled last year. The expected 2012 Independence Day holiday travel volume will tie the past decades previous high mark set in 2007 and represents a near 42 percent increase from 2009. The Independence Day holiday travel period is defined as Tuesday, July 3 to Sunday, July 8. In Wisconsin, nearly 900,000 people are expected to travel for the Independence Day holiday, a 4.2 percent increase compared to last year, according to the AAA forecast. Of those, nearly 780,000 people plan to travel by auto while almost 40,000 will travel by air. The remaining 80,000 travelers will go by rail, bus or ship. The price of gasoline is a factor expected to play a role in spurring travel this Independence Day holiday. Travelers in Wisconsin will find gas prices averaging $3.58 per gallon today, down 11 cents from a year ago and more than 40 cents lower than the 2012 year-to-date high of $3.99 in late March. Since July 4 falls on a Wednesday, the calendar will also play a role in driving holiday travel volume as the mid-week holiday expands the traditional five-day travel period and provides the option of including a weekend and two week days on either side of the actual holiday. When asked about day of departure, 54 percent of people intending to travel this holiday plan to begin their trip prior to the start of the work-week that includes July 4. "AAAs projection for a decade high number of Independence Day travelers is being fed by Americans appetite for travel, a midweek holiday and lower gas prices," said Bill Sutherland, vice president, AAA Travel Services. "This is the second holiday this year where travelers indicated a determination to travel while economizing by actively seeking value-added travel options and activities." "A healthy travel industry is critical to the overall well-being of our economy and consistent increases in travel are encouraging," added Sutherland. Automobile travel up 4 percent, highest auto travel volume in past decade Nationally, approximately 35.5 million people plan to travel by automobile setting the high-water mark for the decade, as 84 percent of all Independence Day holiday travelers choose this traditionally dominant mode of transportation. This is a 4 percent increase over the 34.1 million people who traveled by auto last year. Number of air travelers expected to increase by 9 percent, airfares unchanged Slightly more than 3.2 million leisure travelers (8 percent of holiday travelers) will fly during the Independence Day holiday period, a 9 percent increase over the 2.9 million air travelers in 2011. This years increase is the third consecutive year of rising Independence Day holiday air travel volume, following the decade low 1.4 million air travelers in 2009. Airfares are flat year over year with an average lowest round-trip rate of $200 for the top 40 U.S. air routes in both 2011 and 2012, according to AAAs Leisure Travel Index. A longer holiday period and stable airfares are spurring this increase. The remaining 8 percent of holiday travelers are expected to use other modes of transportation, including rail, bus and cruise ship, accounting for 3.6 million travelers - a 10 percent increase over last year and the second highest volume in the past 10 years. Travelers to experience increases in hotel rates, decreases in car rental rates According to AAAs Leisure Travel Index, Independence Day holiday hotel rates for AAA Three Diamond lodgings are expected to increase 4 percent from a year ago with travelers spending an average of $164 per night compared to $157 last year. Travelers planning to stay at AAA Two Diamond hotels can expect to pay 9 percent more at an average cost of $120 per night. Weekend daily car rental rates will average $40, a 9 percent decrease from one year ago. Average travel distance increases According to a survey of intended travelers, the average distance traveled by Americans during the Independence Day holiday weekend is expected to be 723 miles, up 150 miles from last years average 573 miles. The increase in expected air travel is a factor in lifting the average travel distance as air trips typically span a longer distance than automobile trips. The survey found that the share of holiday trips in excess of 1,500 miles increased to 18 percent from last years 10 percent share, while the share of trips shorter than 250 miles decreased to 28 percent from 35 percent a year ago. Median spending down 7 percent, travelers continue to economize Median spending is expected to be $749, a 7 percent decrease compared to the expected median spending of intended holiday travelers ($807) in 2011. The Independence Day holiday traditionally involves spending time with family and friends, enjoying the outdoors and participating in celebrations highlighted by fireworks. This years survey of intended travelers found that economizing travel consumer behavior will continue over the Independence Day holiday period. Lower spend activities like visiting family and friends and sightseeing are expected to increase up to four percent, while shopping and entertainment will decrease by as much as nine percent.
